The IMRs will work but it is best to use protected batteries in a mod that has no protection!

Efests are highly regarded, cheaper than AW IMRs and protected, I've been using them in my Proavari with no problems. I know this doesn't really answer your question but it gives you options.

Efest batteries are safer chemistry but they have no protection circuit. Fine in a Provar as it has it's own protection.

IMR will run a mech mod, but you are taking a chance, with a mod that has no circuitry you will totally drain an IMR where as a circuited mod will always leave charge in the battery. And with argento having a sensitive switch you should really only use protected Kev.

you will have less battery life. That is the only real diff.No its not, as per the good advice given above your post, the real difference is that protected batteries have protection in them to protect against things like undercharge / overcharge, IMR batteries do NOT have this protection. When using a mechanical mod, or any other mod without protection circuitry built in, it is wise to have this protection

okay, cool, thanks.
I can't seem to find any examples where a single, quality battery failed in a commercial device. Could you give me some links?
I thought a single cell failure was almost a zero possibility, if this is not correct, please enlighten me.
Thanks in advance. I

Thanks for the correction Karma. I take it that efests will be OK used in a mech Mod with a Kick (as the kick adds "some" protection) or best not to risk it? Sorry for the thread highjack BTW

Sorry for the thread highjack BTW A kick will do the same job as a provari circuitry in regards to over and undervoltage, If it doesnt get what it needs it doesnt fire
