I have tried Freedom Smokes USA, Grizwalds, Decadent Vapours and Vermillion River and I STILL am not happy. There seems to be a juice vendor around every corner; I kick over a rock and up pops another one. So I realise that juice taste is subjective, everyone likes something different but I need some opinions (and reasons for those opinions) from all you sexy UK vapers. Can you tell me what makes of juice you like and also WHY do you like them.
MP.

We have a great review section on site MP, We could make recommendations all day to you but as you say taste is so subjective, Why dont you start by telling us what would make you happy, and perhaps we could make more personal suggestions

Tastes change anyway mp.
One of the juices you've rejected may well taste great in a month or so's time.
For what it's worth - I spent about 6 weeks vaping OK Smokey's Old Holborn, because it was close in taste and throat hit to what I used to smoke. Then I moved on to (mostly) DV doppio espresso, because I have always liked espresso, I got a caffeine shot with it, and it seemed to me to be similar to tobacco without tasting remotely like it (no, I don't understand that either).
Now I mostly vape a home mix with a heavy chocolate base, enough peppermint to make it taste "clean", and a little coconut to soften the peppermint (I do understand what I mean by that, but wouldn't be surprised if no one else does) - for which I plan to post a recipe in due course.
But I still also vape other stuff from time to time - the espresso, my rhubarb crumble mix, other recipes I'm trying out.

Ok, I had French vanilla from Vermillion River that didn't even remotely taste of vanilla, plus Fresh Mint from there also and it tasted of toothpaste and gave me a face rash. I had Green cow from Decadent Vapours and that tasted like I was vaping a bottle of Lenor fabric conditioner, way too perfumey. I had a pick n mix from grizwalds and whilst it wasn't in any way offensive, the flavours seemed way too mild (they are sold as pre-steeped). I also had RY4 from Freedom Smokes and I have no idea what it tasted like though my friend reckoned it tasted of Worthers originals, though i'm not so sure, besides they are 50% VG and it had no kick to it. So I like a PG percentage of about 60-70, I like my juices to be full flavoured but not perfumey and I don't want anything mint or menthol because it gives me headaches. I am open to anyother flavour really. Does that description help and am I asking too much?

I'm a relatively new vaper, but have to say that Vermillion River Minnesota Menthol and Caramelised Cappucino are my 2 favourites at the moment. VR MM - complex flavour, quite sweet, but with a mild menthol aftertaste. Really nice to vape at any time of day, and works well for me in a clearo. VR CC - rich yet mild (?) coffe taste, with a delicious but not strong creamy aftertaste. Works a treat with a cup of coffee (surprisingly!) and a nice morning vape. Both have a reasonable TH but nothing too aggressive, and they never last long enough in the bottle as far as I'm concerned. A mate of mine, recently converted, has also tried the VR Florida Citrus Explosion and rates that too! I've only had a couple of draws, but it is definitely citrus and tasty! Hope this helps!

Maybe you're just not ready to move off tobacco taste. OK Smokey probably does the best copy of whatever you used to smoke. I'd get a high nic and a moderate one, see which you prefer.

I'll vape almost anything. However, I do find things by Decadent Vapours surprisingly "dry". I also find there is a sweetener which certain juices use which I can taste immediately and don't get on with terribly well. If I stumble on this, I have to add some tobacco-type liquid to calm it down. I wish I knew what it was. I guess like fizzy drinks with sweetener in, certain types do not exactly pleasure my tastebuds.

I am really keen to try some OK smokey. Maybe (as some folk try to avoid tobacco flavours) I should offer a swap? *or I'll buy a small bottle/sample off somebody* Can't order any....the Missus has clamped my credit card.

I don't know where you got the idea grizwalds were pre-steeped....they need at least a week to come into their own.
Best juices in my opinion are Pixiejuice and Alchemist's cupboard, though even these have some flavours which I don't like at all. Got to just keep trying.

I got the pre-steeping idea from a post on ECF (UK Forum), where it was mentioned there. But if you think they need some extra time, i'd certainly give the pick n mix another crack. I'd tried all those juices through a Vivi Nova attached to an eGo 900 battery, i've now using a boge low resistance cartomiser as I never really got on with the Vivi. Btw, when I was a smoker I smoked Cutters Choice roll ups for 15 years; I have yet to come across that juice.

The larger bottles of Griz are custom made and definitely need steeping. The 5ml samples are made in advance, but how far in advance depends on demand I guess. It's always worth giving any juice at least a week to give it a chance
