I want to make two strengths: mostly 18 mg but some 24 mg as a backup for craving days. I'm just making enough for myself so won't be making litres at a time.

I agree with Dizzi that with the nic and flavours already being in PG, you'll end up using more VG diluent than extra PG diluent. Both are relatively inexpensive and available from a number of sources.
Edit: Typos

Dizzi: I have just seen your post. Must be an age thing, but it takes me ages to compose a reply. Usually, I go off in a tangent while typing and forget what I was trying to say/ask.
So, I should buy the 2 100 ml bottle of pg. How much vg and pg dilutants do you suggest I buy? Thanks a million for your help. When I have my list completed I will try to buy everything in the same place because I get totally confused going between websites.

As a guide: If using 54mg/ml nic in PG, at 70:30 PG:VG ratio and 10% flavour, to make 18mg/ml nic
100ml nic in PG, 90ml PG dilutent, 80ml VG, 30ml flavour = 300ml e-juice 200ml nic in PG, 180ml PG dilutent, 160ml VG, 60ml flavour = 600ml e-juice

I'm going to try mixing my own liquid. I usually rely on the Idiot's Guide when learning something new. There are some really informative threads on here and I have read them - honestly. Trouble is that my brain won't absorb the info until I have some of the ingredients in front of me. So I need to make a list of basic requirements before getting started. As far as I can tell, this is what I will need: 1 bottle of nicotine liquid 1 bottle of PG 1 bottle of VG An assortment of flavours from Flavour Art or Cupcake World A weighing scales Some empty bottles Some syringes Rubber Gloves Is that the lot, or have I missed anything? I don't think you'll find scales nesessary, most recipes are in ml so syringes will be far easier say 1ml, 2ml 5ml and 10ml. Dave

Postmodern: Thank you for that breakdown. Seems straightforward enough (famous last words?).
Dave: That's a relief. Touch wood, I should be able to to manage the syringes. Think I also saw a little measuring cup on a website. Might come in handy.

Sorry here comes another spanner If you buy the VG from ebay it's extremley thick so you will need something to thin/dilute the VG, ideally you want it as viscous / runny as the PG. The cheapest option is de-ionised water which you can usually buy from any car accessory shop or garage for pennies, but you can also use vodka if you happen to have a bottle handy. Just add a small amount, there's usually enough room in the VG bottle it's self to add your dilutant, although I decant some off into a seperate bottle to thin, but if not buying from ebay do check as I think some vendors sell VG thats already diluted.

That Dulce de Leche will be a bottle, 10ml I think. One or two will be fine, you don't need 10

Flavouring's going to really depend on the flavours you prefer Addict. Most of mine are from Cup Cake World. Have a look at the recipes and see what takes your fancy, that'll give you your flavourings lists. Also some of the vendors (Decadent Vapours and Alba Vapours included) offer flavouring concentrates that match the ready-mades they do. I have DV's Absinthe (gorgeous) and next on my list is Swedish Fish from Alba. 10ml of concentrate for less than the price of 10ml of juice, not bad...

Stuck with "what" flavours or where to buy. You've already got Liberty Flights on your list & they have a good range of flavours from different manufacturers, plus if you like tobbaco they have the perique black & dark vapure, both very strong so only need a little but nice with something like blackcurrant & liquorice. I get the bulk of my flavours from cupcake world & again they have a good range & their not expensive, so you don't feel like you've wasted too much if it's not right. I'm defo going to place a re-stock order in the next couple of days, can't be left without any raspberry over the hols Flavour wise down to your taste, although I would put a vanilla & a caramel / sticky toffee in there, maybe some bavarian creme (LF). Some menthol cyrstals maybe, don't have to make full on menthol but if you dissolve some you can add to a range of different mixes to rescue or just a bit to give a different dimension, Choc mint, artic cherry etc. I think coconut is another good one, in small quantities can also be added to alot of other flavours without over powering. Don't really know just peruse the recipes & see what takes your fancy, couple of recipe links in case you haven't got them. www.ecigexpress.com/cookbook/www.thevapebook.com/

Thanks Dizzi. I'm really worried about the flavours. I like tobacco flavours. I have read some of the review threads but there aren't many tobacco reviews so I suppose I'll buy 3 or 4 tobacco flavours. My favourite vape is a mix in my mini nova of about two-thirds El Toro and one-third Grizwalds's cocomel. I realise that I won't be able to replicate that but I'm hoping to concoct something tolerable.

Mad4cats: Wow! Thanks for that. Your suggestions should give me a good head start. Looks like I'm almost there. Let's hope I'm a better ejuice mixer than cook/baker.
