Tricky dilema

Ok only been a day off analogues so far but already smoke smells vile especially on a smokers breath.

How do I mention to my wife she reeks when she's just had a smoke without me sleeping on the sofa for the rest of my life?


(Tried converting her to vaping as well but it hurts her throat so she doesn't like it.)

Not sure that would be subtle enough

You are right though, for her own health I'd like her to move to e-cigs but luckily she doesn't smoke a lot like I did.
Maybe 10 a day at most.

while your wife still has a smoking budget, you can match that with your vaping budget

As long as I don't spend as much on vaping as I did smoking then I should be ok

Don't think it would be wise to mention it yet kibbster. Have you tried different juices for her, one or two particular juices make my throat sore, loads of others don't though

Don't think it would be wise to mention it yet kibbster. Have you tried different juices for her, one or two particular juices make my throat sore, loads of others don't though

She's tried some of my favourtie smooth 16mg juices and even that hurts her throat.
She may be better off with very low nic to avoid throat hit I guess.
She can go for hours without a smoke.

On the bright side now I'm not smoking and rolling fags all night she barely smokes much now.

Lol I'am the poor sod that has to clean the cigarette shelters at the college,although I find it quite refreshing to know I no longer smell like that,appreciate its hard with a smoking partner though,although I have known many couples where only one of them smoked

Haha! - don't bank on that Kibbster, my wife still smokes, about 10 a day, and still has a go at me for the amount I spend. I'm only spending about half my tobacco budget, but that is conveniently forgotten when the Paypal entries appear on the bank statement!

How about a subtle hint like buying her a small gift, such as a can of air freshener and a packet of extra strong mints?

Seriously though, there's not a lot you can do. My hubby smokes too and the smell often makes me feel sick, especially in the mornings when he lights his first fag and the stench wafts around the house. I get used to it though as the day goes on.

But TBH, I have no right to criticise. I'd be a hypocrite, after all, I used to smoke. If anyone had complained to me about it, I'd have told them where to go! Wouldn't all of us have done the same?
