Bad juice? Bad man?

So I am 4 weeks in to my new vaping habit and just switching on to using juice. I only used pre-filled cartos up to last week.

I have had mixed results with juice so far, some of it is down to my 510 kit (it's a bit of a lightweight) but I'm sure it's mostly down to me.

One of the juices I purchased is an 18mg called 'USA mix' from VE and I can't get it good. It has a nasty taste with a smell like burnt hair. Of the other 3 juices I got from them 1 is good, 1 is ok and 1 has made it to my 'ICE' locker.

I have tried:

Fresh cartos.
Fresh batteries.
Letting the carto stand after filling between 5 mins and a few hours.
Steeping the open bottle in a warm dark place for a couple of days.

It was worryingly cheap, maybe it is what it is?
Is there anything I can do? Or maybe shouldn't do?

As it stands it's about to get relegated to my 'try again when you know better' drawer.

In all honesty there are good, bad, and downright nasty juices out there. Some is down to personal taste, some is steeping, some is your taste buds changing from giving up smoking. The search for the perfect juice has filled many a thread. By and large you get what you pay for once all the above has been taken into account

Every ones taste is different what you tried may taste like crap to you and might taste good to them or it
Could be it's just crap. Try steeping it for a week and try it again.

is it the Dekang USA mix? its supposed to be alright from the reviews i have read ... like Oneday said it could need steeping for a while or as you are new to vaping your tastebuds will take a while to settle down ...i would pop it to one side and come back to it in a week or so

I've tried the VE USA Mix and was underwhelmed with it too. No real taste, and a distinct lack of vapour. I usually mix it with Menthol and a mild RY4 from Wingnuts to get something acceptable. Shame, as I was expecting something akin to a Marlboro taste and hit, but no joy so far (oh, and mine has been steeping for 8 weeks now!).

Yes it is the Dekang USA mix, it is weak in every way, but I am new to this and maybe I was expecting heaven in a bottle?

On the plus side I just got an order of XXX Softmints delivered and it rocks!
It's not mind blowing, but it has plenty of vapour, is definately minty and I was to impatient to steep it so am using it 'raw', can't wait to see how it matures.

Am going to steep all my flavours for another week (finally found a manly use for my airing cupboard) and see how it goes.

Keep reading the reviews, if you can get along to a shop or a vape meet and try a few or buy a pick n mix that some of the Vendors do, it'll be worth it in the end to find "your one" two, or three

We have shops in Wiltshire but they only sell baccy, fags, etc. Don't know of any that will support my new habit.

What is a vape meet? Am a bit old to go to a rave!

Not many vaping shops about yet, there are some in Hampshire/Dorset area hopefully someone wilol come along with the info soon.

A vapemeet can be just 2 people getting together somewhere that allows vaping, small meets are often in pubs and you have a pint a chat and vape! Other meetings can be quite big, I went to one earlier in the year where there were hundreds of people plus vendors doing special deals and allowing you to try before you buy. I know a couple of the Guys on here have a regular meeting in Portsmouth with a vendor or 2 attending. Keep an eye out in them in

Hi Raid, I'm new too but I had to acknowledge another from the Salisbury area. There's a dire shortage of anything even vaguely vape related here isn't there and I have spent a fortune through trial and error.
I wish I'd found this site a few months ago but unfortunately I found TW instead.
