I use an Ego-t with ce4 clearomisers/cartomisers,whatever they are called [seen ce4 called both]. For me this kit is perfect. With 1100mah batts lasts a day easily and i vape about2-3 hours. I see all this expensive bling advertised and wonder, is it any better. I have never had a problem and dont see the point in upgrading. I know there are vv , rebuildables, batt bypass, digital displays ,special atomisers, etc , etc. I dont want a mega throat hit,im trying to cut down on nic and vaping all day is probably not a good idea. I just wonder what tempts people to spend mega bucks on the latest gadget? Or will i find over time that i to will succumb to wanting more/better.

The only things I've spent big bucks on are completely mechanical, virtually unbreakable GG's. A good mechanical big battery holder can soon pay for itself as batteries you use with them are cheaper & usually even longer lasting than replacement generic e-cig batteries.

I'm the same, as long as it continues to give me nicotine I'm fine. On the other hand I see lots of sense in what Chrissie says. Maybe it is worth buying something for home use just for the longevity of it as I'm not looking for a "better vape" or more power.

I have only been vaping for 5 weeks. At the beginning i wasted money on ciggie look alike kits, untill i found the Ego/ce4. Its surprising how quickly the cash disappears. I just worked out that i have spent about £300.00 on vaping ,so far. However as i can now mix my own juice and im happy with the Ego, vaping should remain on a par with ciggie costs per week . Obviously my health should improve and thats what it is really all about.

I've been happy with my Ego batts for years, I did buy a screwdriver when they appeared because little 901 batteries where nearly a tenner a pop and never really lasted that long. Glad I got the SD tbh, whatever happens I'll still have a battery, which is why I've recently bought a few rebuildables. I got 2 x A7 drippers, a Bulli-A2-T, an Aga-T and an AGA-S, I might even get an IGO-L. I didnt really purchase any of them because I looked at them as an upgrade because really they're not, they work just as good as the cartos I've used for ages. I bought them purely for cost efficiency and the fact I will always have atomizers regardless of what happens as far a regulation goes in the future. If your happy with what you got and it does what it's meant to why change ? nothings really an "upgrade" it all does the same thing at the end of the day , some just do it differently, not necessarily better.

I went with VV/VW so i can get the best out of my E juices.Theyare not all the same, they all vape at different temperatures/Volts.I have several rebuildable attys but not got them sorted yet. With my ZMAX and LT i think i have the means to get my best Vaping experience.

will say its all this forums fault! lol its my precious, seems to have stung me ! started out with a DSE901,great stopped smoking but just didnt like it,battery ran out and messy filling soo upgraded to CE5 twin kit loved it then read reviews stories here about variable volt stuff, mind started wandering well hmmm would it be better, well if your going to buy newer addy's[see even talk like them now] then yes you will be trying newer bit more £££,in the end your saving ,for me health wise more than i care about £££'s,but then 10 roll ups a day hmm that was breakfast for me so far Dse901 twin kit Ce5 Twin kit 650mah Complete mix my own [ i prefer 100% vg] kit bought from stores and ebay total cost under £15[2 bottles of nic is £9 of that] 1100mah twist 1300mah spinner Vamo v2 kit[awaiting delivery] Mini Nova 3.5ml 2x Genesis clones... total roughly £110 will add so far {,does not inc juice or flavours [only 1]} will i end up with a few more gadgets well possiblly........BUT thanks to this Forum and a few others ,Todds reviews ,i can hold hand on heart and say i actually SAVED money, with out there reviews comments,i may possibly have just wasted money on Ecigs that wouldnt work for me,my family is happy i quit,so far what i have spent has equaled nearly what i would have spent on tobacco,in the near 4/5weeks i have given up......will i get more well to be honest most likely ,But as for provari range etc well that will be a No ,i couldnt justify that expense

I ve got a lot of stuff ...but very little was new . I no longer own a single Ego ...but wouldnt mind a pair , they re a good vape with the right match . I m quite selective with my acquisitions and yeah , my good quality stuff vapes better than an Ego using my preferred atomizers . Its also more durable ...and serviceable ...important things to me . As time goes on your needs might change ...if you wanna eke a bit of extra life out of them CE4s (they are a fiver !) a VV Ego battery or mod might actually save you a bit of money . Likewize a mellow vape on a lavatube in the morning might suit you as you cut the nic . Its horses for courses , I ve bought more semidisposable ecig batteries than I like to remember ..and cheap 'mods' . Its nice having stuff that goes the distance .

Vaping has simply turned in to a hobby for me.
Part of it is chasing that perfect vape but really an Ego and a 1.5 ohm atty is pretty damned good.
That said I am the same as pikey in that I don't own an Ego. I have a plethora of VV and mech devices. Some get used consistently on a daily basis some get used occasionally and those that I realise I don't use at all get sold on.
My Sturm and VMod's just simple 3.7 mechs I guess see the most use along with ProVari's but there are a range of things I am still looking to get and play with. I am trying not to turn into a collector though I feel those tendencies and really regret selling some of the things that have passed through my possession.
But hey it is all good and also a lot of fun.

It certainly is a lot of fun. If that's how you wish to continue. I just often worry that newer members, after getting away from the smokes, are then feeling somewhat pressured/persuaded to follow suit with all the folks with the latest bit of kit.

If I ever reach the stage where I'm vaping for pennies (not buying new juices and trying new cartos/clearos) I will almost certainly start putting money in a jar for something "flash" or "interesting".
For now, even using a pair or Rivas and vaping (VV) once a day on a Spinner is costing me a fortune......
I guess it depends if it's a hobby as well as serving the purpose of avoiding the nasties..

I tend to agree Beeper. Even within the time I've been vaping the number, complexity and price of kit has escalated. When I first joined the forum very few people had a Provari. The odd person would buy themselves one as a present for getting to a year smoke free and we'd all demand to see pics and hear reviews. That dropped to six months then three, and now I see people getting them as their first upgrade. Add to that the vv and vw explosion and all the shiny top pieces and rebuildables and the pressure is really on

Totally agree with what chrissie says i have two mechanical mods both 18650 batts and they have payed for them salves well worth the money.
