I bought this pass through the other day, I know other people here have also bought them. It works okish on my pc but what does happen a lot is the light flashes on and off when it is pressed and coil seems to go on off on off etc. Has anyone got any ideas??? p.s It doesn't work in the car on a usb adaptor. www.vapingthings.com/510_FIXED_PASSTHROUGH_FROM__649_-__999/p1311952_7048616.aspxedited to add link

Get it touch with...I think it's James at Vaping Things, he'll probably just swap it out, there is a high chance it's faulty These things do happen unfortunately I've used mind in a Picanto, M5, 6 Series, Insignia, and a Nemo van, been fine in all of them, I've used it on an extension that has two built in USB sockets, my laptop, and my Sony phone charger. So get in touch on Monday or pop an email over, and he'll sort it I'm sure Best not to fiddle if it is faulty

I wonder ( not being remotely technical ) if your car usb adapter has a high enough amperage to power it Pam.
The Passthroughs that I have including that one, I only ever use on a USB hub, as it has a higher output (?) thingy.
But, it could be faultly, just looking for other explanations . . .

Thanks Tim and Perps. The light on the adaptor in the car does dim when I push the button, I can live with it not working in the car but it is annoying that it is doing the on off flashing thing on the pc. I will contact vaping things tomorrow and let them know. Thanks Pam

Usb passthroughs need a mains powered usb hub ideally. A usb port only supplies 500 mah of power before it requests more from the device. If the device does reply it will only go to 1 amp. A mains powered usb hub doesnt have these restrictions. Ive got the same usb passthrough and use it on a hub, the only time ive had it flash at me and refuse to work was when i had a short ( i.e. drawing too much power ) on my bulli, or i set the voltage too high on a low resistance coil i've made.

I knew that there'd be a technical explanation Apostle. Thank you.
