Sham and I ordered our XL Clearo's ( sorry Scylla for my earlier error :-[ ) from Wiz at the same time - the R5's or certainly the latest version he's stocking.

All and and any of my drip tips fit it without having to modify the drip tip in any way.

did yours have the silicone ring perp ? did they have a black top when new ?
ive tried all mine randomly and i cant get a drip tip in any of my rev 5, i know aaron didnt get his till 2 weeks after i got mine so they could of been revised again, regardless though they still work excellently and ive used them in the map tanks.
ive only got a few packs left now and am waiting on more coming so i will see what the next batch is like

the ones I received yesterday from Aaron had the silicone ring and the black top too.. no way of fitting a drip tip in any of them nor the rev 4 ones(no silicone ring, white cap and longer tho thinner wicking "ropes".... )

I got mine today and my drip tips fit them perfectly.Wicking seems alot better and the tube is made out of a better flexible plastic.

Let me warn you right away... most people want an analog look-like e-cig but that won't be of much use as the battery won't last more than a few hours! perhaps you'd like a riva which is a tad bigger?

seen as quite a few newbies have joined since this thread started i thought i would bring it back up so everybody knows its their.

to clean your clearomiser

step 1 remove any drip tip/rubber tip and get a small hook i recommend anybody using clearomisers invest in this tool as its a god send if you use clearos or arry/map tanks

remove the silicone doghnut if their is one and remove the silicone bung that has the filler holes in it.

step 2 make sure your clearo is screwed onto a battery as it makes the next step much easier, gently pull off the clear tube and rinse it under warm water.

step 3 keep that tap running and rinse the clearo insides under the hot tap for a minute or so to remove all the old gunked up e-liquid from the wicks and the top part of the ceramic and inside were the coil is and dont forget to rinse the rubber bung/doughnut under the tap

step 4 get yourself a few pieces of kitchen roll and pat the wicks dry along with the rest of the bits you have just rinsed off.

step 5 make sure you have the clearo insides on a 510 battery so you can fire it up and dry burn the coil by pressing the button untill you see the coil glow a bright red approx 3 times and also give the coil a blow to get rid of any ash deposits were the e-liquid has burnt off.

step 6 basically a reversal of dismantleing and putting the whole thing back together, tube on the cleaors skeleton and insert the silicone filler bung making sure the slots on it are lined up with the ceramic slots were the kevlar strands come out of and push down with something the same thickness as the tube i personally use the plunger from my clearo syringe mod tube as it is exactly the right size to fit in.

step 7 once done refill with you e-liquid of choice as you can use whatever flavour you wish once cleaned properly.

step 8 sit back and enjoy your vape and pat yourself on the back for doing such a grand job
