Good luck to them . . . they come across as a really genuine, unstuffy couple, who do their fair share of engagements. Unlike some of the other Royal freeloaders.

I don't think this news is a reason to diss the country.
Am really pleased for William and Kate and think we should be celebrating that news not getting political and moany over it. Any first time parents should be congratulated and made to feel special not have things made less exciting by moans over things that are not their fault.

I look at it this way. Not one of us has a say into what life we are born. From the starving peasant in say Ethiopia to the highest royals. What are the likes of Wills and Harry supposed to do? Spend their whole life apologising for who they are? Or, do they do as they have done and give back to the country they were born in? If they wanted to they could do as many royals before them have done and remain in their ivory towers mixing with the aristocracy and be good for nothings all their life, but, they haven't!! Thankfully, i think newer generation of royals are far more clued up and in touch and those two lads have their mother to thank for that. For the record i despise Charles to me he epitomises all that was bad about the royal family. Thank god his sons have chosen a different route in life.

Sigh, another benefits baby that hard working taxpayers will be expected to feed. Amen.. But I wouldn't blame someone for being born where they are. C'est le vie. I wish her a trouble free pregnancy and childbirth.

Well, as with any parents of whatever social status expecting their first child, I don't wish them ill. I just object to what they represent and the fact that its going to be wall to wall over the news, forever.

If they are wall to wall covering the royal baby at least they won't be hacking some other poor sods phones!!!! Although knowing them the hounding like Diana may commence > I so hope not.

Iirc the phone hacking thing first came to light when they hacked the royal phones...way back in 2003ish.

You may well be right. I lived in Australia between 2001 - 2009 so that period of British news is a bit vague to me. Regardless, i refused to ever buy a newspaper again after the death of Diana and have stuck to that apart from the last edition of the News Of The World and I only got that as a souvenir for the grandkids

Can't we just leave politics out of this domestic extremist cos I am pro royal for religious reasons (I know my history ) and it would be really nice to not be taking sides about this as a forum and also not to slander folk whatever they're pedigree. I think it hath a name - respect and courtesy Else this forum will no longer be friendly

But it doesn't matter, I can moan about it elsewhere. BTW I'm not religious either, so maybe you would pray for me (in case I'm wrong)

I have a BNWT babygro here I was going to sell on feebay with 'Made in England' written on it and the red George cross background. Maybe I should send it to them. I like Wills and Kate, they seem down to earth and there's nothing snooty about them, good luck to them.
