Thanks to a very nice chap firing blanks ( ) start again thanks to firingblanks for the tester of stevia has anyone tried it in their tea or coffee? I normally take 2 sugars in tea/coffee found that in tea i am very happy with 12 drops for sweetness in coffee it took me 18 drops to get it the way i like it with no aftertaste either thoughts anyone? edit to add this maybe in the wrong place feel free to move it but put it where i can see it (wifee joke)

Yep, good isn't it.... That was it's original purpose a general purpose food additive / sweetener, been used that way for years and years, I also use it on cornflakes etc.

Not yet Colli. I've a bottle of ready mix that I'm going to try in my cuppa, when my current sweetex dispenser is empty, as that leaves a bit of a manky taste in my mouth.

treat yourself perpy I did a small drop test on my finger and had to wash my mouth out it was so sweet having tried allsorts of sweetners i was dissapointed but this really seems to work

Liquid Stevia might be OK. I bought some actual sweetener tablets specifically made for drinks and they're pants. They don't dissolve and disperse through the drink but sort of froth on the surface and no amount of stirring and waiting seems to help. You always end up with one mouthful of sickeningly sweet tea or coffee at some point and the rest of your drink tastes as though you haven't sweetened it at all. BeurK!
