Bread and cheese hill is usually a nightmare , I don't mind walking in fresh snow but hate walking on the ice so ill have a look at those thanks, my school is usually open, my daughters old secondary school shut though, never used to when she was there but it is a new head now

it was nearly gridlock. must of been lovely for you to have the opportunity to live in Australia for all those years. but i imagine the heat must get to you.

It's been snowing off and on since Friday in Scotland. Due to cutbacks many roads and pavements haven't seen any grit. Temperatures have been down to -6 some nights so pavements and side roads are trecherous. All schools and workplaces are still open and what little public transport we have here is still working

I was glad i went, but also very pleased to come home. Highest temperature i experienced when in Adelaide was 48degrees. I thought i was going to die that day
