CE5 and Grants.

Tried my first CE5 with Grants Vanilla Custard. I have read of leaking probs, but i am really pleased with the CE5,good piece of kit. I tried Grants VC after 3 days and it didnt taste right. Tried today after 7 days and wow what a difference. Its a must to steep for a full 7 days. It tastes really creamy, with a definite custard/toffee flavour.

I got a couple of CE5s in the vapemail on Thursday. May have to send them both back. One of them definitely leaks, as confirmed by the little puddle of ejuice on my dressing table after leaving the wicks to soak before I tried it. Not sure about the other one. It's working OK (also with Grant's, mmmmmm!), but it's wonky inside - looks like the leaning tower of Piza in there, and when the tip's screwed in it only just covers the top of the atty.

I think I'll send 'em both back, along with the spare coils I got, and just get myself a mini Nova. A purple one.

It's the outer sleave that is wonky, take out mouthpiece and press down with your thumb on the top, I think you can fix it with a spot of glue, I guess they are a bit cheap. Mini/Vivi Nova are much better quality build

I'll have a go at pushing it back down, although I'm a bit wary of pushing too hard and cracking the tube. I'm not gluing it, shouldn't have to do that with 'em. I'll email the vendor later and see what they say about returns.

mine arived today, going to let it steep for a few days, can't wait to try it smells nice

Bomber, I managed to leave mine for a whole week. Believe me, it's worth the wait!

Hoppers, your tip worked, the inside of the CE5 now lines up nicely with the outside - there was a little click and the outer sleeve slotted nicely into place. Unfortunately it's now not working at all. And it's full of Grants VC. Gah!!!

I'll email the vendor as I want to return both of them. (disappointed face )

Are you sure you haven't just accidentally turned the battery off?
Anyway, the Nova is a better quality build, Mini or Vivi depending on what size tank you want. you might possibly need a little collar as well (not sure if it's just cosmetic or necessary).

I think I've fixed it. Took the whole thing apart (lost the juice down the sink :-[) then put it back together again. Properly. The tip only just screws on, but it works. Won't be buying them again, they're really poorly assembled. Deffo wasn't the battery, I tried it on both, and I tried other clearos on both batts.

Thinking of treating myself to a Vamo after Christmas. Will get a couple of Novas to go with it. Then that'll be it for the spending.

The other issue I had was that if the atomiser thing (with the wick/coil) wasn't screwed on tight, it was unscrewing with the mouthpiece. This might possibly cause a poor contact (with the battery) and possibly liquid to leak out (if partially unscrewed). It seems like you might have experienced all the same problems as I did. I still use mine occasionally

Just got home to find that it's not fixed at all - still leaking. Bah. Will email the vendor tomorrow and arrange to swap it for something else. Annoying!
