However a beryllium copper spring may or may not collapse when heated and that depends on how they are manufactured. Springs that are meant to collapse are coiled flat and then expanded to shape. So when subjected to heat, they collapse to their original shape.

So while all BeCu springs will be LR, not all of them may be "hot" springs that collapse when heat is passed through them.
