What's a Hot Spring?

Think safety fuse... but in spring form....too much heat/current it will pop/collapse, breaking the connection going through it.

The spring in my vamo get quite hot is this normal. ???

My vamo also gets really hot especially the end cap as does my VN, I understand you need to replace the original (silver) spring or the fatter wider spring with a brass/copper coloured spring (hot spring) like those used in Silver Bullets.
The copper springs give less resistance so if you were vaping at higher voltages it would give you more accurate higher voltage, at least that's how I understand it.
Apparently the Vamo end cap won't get hot once replaced with a hot spring, you can get them from ivapour-elixir.co.uk

It replaces the supplied spring in your mod with one that allows a better current to pass through it plus it has the added bonus of collapsing if it gets too hot so it breaks the battery connection if there's ever a problem

Yes it arrived this morning. It's for a "D" cell and 32mm diameter.
