I have been on lots of different forums over the years. I ws even a moderator on a couple (never again!!)
I find it really funny and intriguing how no matter what the forum subject is posters fall into distinct personality types. Here is a link to a place that defines the personalities. Which ones reflect you?...BE HONEST!

Observer:
The Observer virtually lives on his or her particular forum, spending many hours in the day pressing the "New Topics" button or if they are slightly more advanced by pressing the F5 key.
The Observer will keep out of wars which he or she thinks are either too lame or petty but will be the 1st one to jump to the defence of a forum buddy when he thinks he or she is in trouble.
Observers: very similar to a sniper, you only know they are there when you need them.


I wouldn't class myself as a full time Observer, although I have done my fair share of shift work when the forums seem dead and I have nothing to add.
I would class my self as "The Another Mother Brother"

The Another Mother Brother is a friendly member who like the Observers, spends as much time as humanly possible on his chosen forum.
He uses the "New Topics" button mostly just to keep up to date with the goings on around him. He might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he usually has something good to say when he sees the need. He will always be there in his forum buddys defence but tends to see both sides of the war 1st before yielding his axe. (his axe in this case just like a real brother is going and telling on you rather than actually fighting anyone elses battles)
