Good Buy/Bad Buy?

A mate had a go on my vaper and he's converted and bought one too. As mixing your own juices is supposed to be cheaper we've agreed to bulk buy materials etc. and split the cost.
Are these 2 good buys?

1) 2.5 litres Glycerol/Glycerine Tech, (technical grade but described as Kosher / Pharmaceutical Grade)
2) 5 Litres deionised water
total cost = £25.50 inc delivery

Which gives us 2.5l of deionised water, 1.25l glycerine, 1l PG each for approx £24.25 each

I get my PG from that Ebay seller as well Lardy, excellent value.

I'm a little confused though with the first link, as to why you're needing 5 litres distilled water between you.

If you're going to do a mix of VG, with a nic PG base or PG with a nic VG base . . . you shouldn't need to thin the liquid down, PG will do that for you. . . it's only if you using 100% VG that it'll need thinning and then by just a few drops, vodka also does the job and improves the throat hit.

So I'd say the PG is a great buy, but not so sure about the VG/Distilled water as Boots do a 250ml bottle for £1.69, I think I last paid for one.

I totally agree Perpy,cant beat a few drops of vodka for thinning a heavy VG mix,works wonders.Also distilled water if you are not a drinker will do the job, and is inexpensive to buy.

I added the water 'cos I thought it was needed for vg if you didn't add a splash of vodka. Methinks I'll forget the water and go for vodka instead.

Yes, if you use a VG only mix, you'll certainly need something to thin it a little. . . . distilled water will work. . . . but a small bottle from Halfords or similar, would last you both ages . . . mainly because you're not going to be tempted to drink it.

I'm not in a rush to start mixing, I'll be looking for a nicotine liquid, 54MG probably
