Here it comes...a (small) price to pay!

Well, I said this before, and lo, it has come to pass...

As a smoker, I obviously didn't have a lot going for me in the health department, but one thing that seemed to happen was that I rarely got a cold. I haven't had one for a good couple of years.

Until today. Headachey, sniffly, shivery and generally on the verge of a cold.

You have all been warned. I HATE colds. I know it's hardly anything as far as illnesses go, and I shouldn't complain, but a cold is (in my book, anyway) one of the worst things going because you know there's absolutely nothing you can do to stop it, make it go away or get rid of it any faster.

So I'm going to be a miserable git for the next week, at least. Just so you know.

Being considered a vulnerable person i get the flu jab every year and also had the pneumonia one. Ever since i have never had a sniffle. I know colds are not the same but seems curious to me. ???

It's so long since I had a cold, I didn't realise the best cure was mixing cocktails!! Thanks for all the recipes. If anyone wants to know what I look like, I'm the woman with the red nose, covered in manuka honey and smelling like a small distillery, with a hint of lemsip.

Did I mention the bit about being a miserable git?
