Last night I noticed (never vape in bed) that part of my clearomiser was glowing red, which was pretty alarming. I take it this is not normal (I had recently filled it so this is obviously not a dry burn). It only glows red when I actually draw on it. Any help? I've stopped using it, thankfully have a spare, but will only be using menthol juice for now. Oh well. Attachments:

PS - Sorry for the crappy picture - it 'goes out' quite quickly so very tricky to focus it in time using an iPhone

looks like the glows coming from the coil under the rubber capped bit. I'm thinking its only a small part of the coil, tho i cant tell if its a big glow or not heh, is it wicking decent?

This is my problem - I have no sense of smell at all so I can't really tell - but it's not like really bitter, still tastes slightly sweet. Is it possible this has been caused by not cleaning it? I've only had it since Monday, used <10 ml in that time... ???

im not sure that would do it, maybe its a bit of coil thats not near the wick so its staying dry whilst the rest of the coil is working, I've had that happen, usually it can cause some change to the flavour making it more harsh or burnt tasting. Is that a ce5 rebuildable head version?

I missed your response while posting that, sorry. I think it's a CE4 (non-rebuildable) - at least that's what the description on e-cigwizard said. Going to post a proper picture of it, taken when I'm not trying to vape in a sec

yea, usually they glow when the coil is dry, but looks like thres enough liquid, ive never been able to see it glow quite like that tho, i guess the cup the coil sits in is quite exposed on the side. Seems if the flavour etc r fine then theres nothing else to do heh, also as long as the inside of the rubber isnt getting burned a bit, like melting

yea thats the one, the sides above the wick do have a slit so u can see towards the coils, maybe the rubber part is pushed down onto the wick too much, could b a possiblity to unscrew the mouthpiece and try and lift the rubber bit a tiny bit higher. Also can b good to tilt it and make sure most of the wick on either side is covered with eliquid, like for a few seconds

Hmmm... I just tried it tilted so that the rubber cap was submerged - made no difference. I'm just a bit nervous about it, I think I will have to get in touch with the supplier. Anyway thanks for your help, I need to run now or I will be late for work.
