Hi all,

Thanks for the support, but remember this was a global team effort!

For now, we are going to be working directly with the MHRA (meeting being arranged imminently) to assist policy makers in making the RIGHT decisions.

I agree: it ain't over til the fat lady sings, and she's not even in the WINGS yet, much less on the stage! lol

However, this is a MASSIVE step forward. I am now working through the several thousands of pages of associated documents to find the meat and two veg at the heart of all this and will be updating the community throughout.

I have NOT forgotten the US, however, and shall be addressing the FSPTCA alongside the UK work.

So thanks to everyone, and pats on the back all round! We haven't yet won the war, but we are consistently winning significant battles!

Kat, we can sign petitions, comment on blogs & places like facebook, Tweet, Dig etc. More than anything, just get the message out there as much as possible about how much the e-cig works.

If you Ladies truly give a damn about Vaping, then it’s time to do something concrete ..... especially you Chrissie, you’ve got more to lose than most babe ..... in fact you should be the last person who jumps on bandwagons without going through things in detail and reading between the lines .....

If you want, you can stick to telling noobsters what to buy ..... or you could devote a little time to using your ample influence to make a difference and help Vaping survive ..... up to you baby .....

Perfectionist, is it a full moon ? or have you just been released from some kind of confinement? OK I know that's a tad rude but nothing compared to some of the insults you throw at others. You seem to disappear for several months at a time & then come back just to attack rather than give constructive help.

I wanted to leave Perfectionists post here for a while,but due to some news I'm moving it to add it to all his other outrageous comments in our Archive. In fact I'd prefer to delete his post but feel that would do more harm than good. The Archive is only open to registered signed in members & they can read his "opinions" & judge for themselves.

You all might also be interested to know, that the MHRA has it's fingers in other pies as well . . . from the 30th April certain herbal medicines, will have to have a licence, which can only be obtained if these products have a proven 30years of traditional use.

It's not a ban they say, but it's inevitable some products will disappear as they haven't been around for 30years!

Yup, that sounds like the typical back-door approach they like to adopt!

Just glad we were able to put a few spanners in the works when they tried it with us!

There is still a long way to go, but ECITA is meeting with Trading Standards on Monday morning (just before I start my treatment - aargh!) to discuss the specifics of the regulatory framework we have prepared. Then we'll be taking it to MHRA and wider Govt and we'll see what happens.

If the MHRA are presently deciding/finding out how much nic it takes to have an effect how are they then going to convert that into how much nic in an e-cig has an effec t? Does this mean in the next 18 months they are also testing the different strenghts and 'normal' useage of vapers ?
