I have been asleep most of the evening only just seen this. Absolutely shocking. Something must be done in USA. It seems to be happening every couple of months now.

Very tragic, just stood gobsmacked as I watched it on the TV,heart felt feelings to all that died and the families that spend this Christmas in mourning

My dad lives out there and when I went to visit got chatting to two lads in the bar. They said come to mine tomorrow for and let of a few rounds with them.
I get there and they have enough guns to fight a pretty respectable war!
These KIDS of 19 and 20 had:
Ak 47 357 magnum Winchester copy Swat 12 gauge 3 big bore hunting/sniper rifles Glock 17 Browning 9mm
And the funniest thing of all, one of them takes the perfectly legal semi auto ak 47 to college and keepsit in his ddorm for "protection"
It's amazing this doesn't happen every day with the gun to nut ratio

Absolutely awful. Kids hiding in cupboards that are only recently old enough to walk. Truly awful. Yes alot of bad around the world with earthquakes and such. but Mindless killing of children is tragic wherever it happens.

Quite, quite heartbreaking the more you hear of this desperate and tragic incident . . . unfortunately I can't see the mindset changing in America whilst a large percentage of the population view it as their constitutional right to bear arms. The screening process surely needs improving?

I'm quite upset that the media are saying that this young shooter 'may' have had autism, like that's some reason > Anyone that knows anybody that is on the Autistic Spectrum will know that violence like this is just not part of the persona

I completely agree Karma. I'm surprised they aren't blaming one of the mental illnesses which are more normally "picked on". I read that this lads mother was one of those survivalists and had a house full of guns and prepared her kids for Armageddon. One has to wonder what this lad went through for him to explode so badly. It seems to always be young men who commit these crimes. It's all so terribly tragic

It's very tragic indeed and I can understand people trying to find some reason behind it. But, to try to blame a developmental disorder that as many as 1 in every 100 children may suffer from in varying degrees is just wrong >
