Things went a little smoother tonight, thanks to Gordy, Mandy and Jason for answering my endless questions Made up some base, added the banana to the vanilla custard, First recipe is my feeble attempt at Rasbperry Dodge, I know I won't recreate Pixie's but the quality of my stash is diminishing so I wanted to have a go and see if I can make something that resembles it for my own use sanity and I've made some Strawberry cookies, well maybe I have not going to test anything until tomorrow

Well done to you as well Ellen. Once you've made something that is vapeable, I think it gives you the confidence to get further into mixing, bit like making those few coils on a rebuildable, that you (we) never thought we'd be able to do.

Must be something in the air, I've had my first go at mixing tonight as well Will hopefully turn out as something that vaguely resembles waffle n' blueberries, but I'll give it a few days then see what it's like. Smells lovely, so with any luck will taste ok too

Did my first load of mixing at the weekend, and it looks like the results are fairly mixed. That's OK though, we all have to start somewhere! Started with small batches, around 2.5ml of each: Chocolate & coconut - this one's gonna be a goodie! Banana & caramel toffee - so far so good. Watermelon - waaaay to strong, it'll need diluting with some more base. Vanilla custard - still very subtle, will leave it to steep a bit longer. Apple & blackberry - think it'll be OK, although flavour ratios might need a tweek. Chocolate cake with icecream - too heavy on the ice cream & nowhere near cakey enough! Custard tart - not enough custard, too much tart! Might just need more steeping, but can always tweek if needed. Will give them all a few more days before I start messing with any of them. I mixed up a 50/50 base of PG/VG with 10mg/ml nic (my preference) then added it to the flavours I'd mixed. Using 20% flavour to start with, mostly as it makes the maths easier! It's interesting to see what works and what doesn't - like the watermelon, probably only needed half the amount of flavouring. Think I'm going to enjoy this mixing lark!

It's amazing how mixing has gone so quickly from a 'black art' to such a mainstream activity. I'm loving doing it, and reading people's experiences and ideas, and vaping my own juice

Sounds like you're going great guns Sarah . . . warning, mixing can be highly addictive.

Yes, I can see this mixing mularkey becoming every bit as addictive as everything else vaping related Was just tidying everything away and something occurred to me - once these capella bottles are opened, should they be stored in the fridge? I keep all the base, PG and VG in there after opening, but until now hadn't really thought about the flavourings.

I keep my concentrates in the fridge Smudge ( as many as I have room for anyway ) as it tidies them away as much as anything, but it will preserve them better I'd think.

It's a tighter squeeze now, since I took that photo Smudge, but it's surprising what a bit of judicious shoving it in can achieve.

Ah, good point on storage. Into the fridge they go. (Well, tomorrow after work.) The bottom of the freezer's already full of nic base, VG and PG. Who needs food anyway?!

will have to put mine in the fridge............the bathroom cupboard is getting a tad overcrowded with flavourings I had a little of the F'Art apple pie which I mixed up during my first attempt in November last year and when I first tried it after steeping it was okay tasting, but I thought next time tweak it a bit more, but tried it this morning and mmmmm the flavour seems to have come out a lot more, now there is a definate taste of cinnamon, apple and pie base now........ quite scrummy

Oh dear, with a bit of judicious shoving in my fridge, I'll end up with a real mess around my feet. :-[

Dispense with food as Sarah suggests maybe Jess, it's an option worth serious consideration, we're getting our 5 a day through the fruity flavours we're vaping I'd think. Glad you enjoyed F'arts Apple Pie Esme, it really is the nicest Apple Pie concentrate I've tried, love it!
