I was getting it out of my locker at work and it flew out of my hand smashing against the wall then onto the floor. I've poked any dangly bits back in, put the connector back into place, put the battery cover back in place, snapped the two halves back together and.......it seems to be working!!!

Lol, They are as hardy as flouted it seems, I was gonna suggest black tape. If anything it would add character and perhaps stopping it splitting next time it jumps out of your hand

I would be totally gutted if my gripper died on me, the rivas and twist hardly get a look in these days! I have opted for an elastic band temporary support till I can get some black insulation tape I carried it home in my pocket in bits and the very first thing I did when I got home was emergency gripper surgery which seems to have been a success. Obviously a tough little blighter Pam
