Been using skycig kit and have now bought Riva 1100mah batteries as skycig ones are useless,I will finish my skycig cartridges and refill them for a while but after that i am looking at the clear cartridges where you can see the liquids but which are best and what are the wicks for?

Get a Vision CE5 or a Mini Vivi Nova. The wicks are the bit that have the coil around them, the coil heats up to vaporise the liquid. But after some use (anywhere between a couple of weeks and a couple of months) they get a carbon deposit that builds up covering the coil this prevents the coil working properly so needs some maintenance or replacing. The wick & coil heads mean you just replace this part without throwing the whole atomiser away. Most come with a couple of spare wicks/coils.

Vivi Nova or mini Vivi Nova, bought from a quality supplier, does not leak unlike some clearos. I tried a few different ones but now the Novas have arrived I'm sticking with them. Get some spare heads as well.
The wicks transport the juice from the tank to the coils.

When you consider the cost of cigarettes it's negligible, if you recoil your own heads it's pennies instead of pounds though.
It's only the head you need to replace, not the whole unit.

It's complicated all this stuff... ??? I didn't get the whole idea behind clearos until I got rid of (burnt.. ) my "disposable" one and got a type where you can replace the heads. Then it all became clear. (no pun intended)...

dowden, it's going to be a tricky choice for you if money is a real issue.
I have bought a few "cheap-price" clearomisers and all of them are disappointing compared to "full-price" ones from any number of vendors. Are they fake/clones? Yes, some of them. Some of them are presumably rebranded/renamed to suit certain vendors and the endless fascination with selling stuff which seems to have a different name.
For example, OK smokey do a clearomiser with the Kingo name. What is Kingo?....is it their own version of a CE5 or a real CE5, or a clone CE5? Who knows....
CE5s and Kanger T3s are not expensive, so saving £1 doesn't interest me at all. V.M.N.s are less easy to decide on. You can get them cheap from a number of places and maybe even order one direct from China....but if you are prepared to clean them, put new heads on them, maybe burn the coils every now and again, I'd say spend the full £10-12. They will last for ages.

Can anyone recommend the best supplier for the vision ce5 or the nova,as in price and quality, thanks. For the Nova's Vapeescape, they may be slightly more expensive than some ( use the discount code ) but they are reliable and Jason and Ellen are regular on here ( so if you have a problem you can give them grief here ) The reputation they have on here is fantastic. I've not had a problem with them, so can't give experience on how they deal with any issues that may arise, but I've changed an order before and they have responded quickly and without fuss (although I still haven't got a free pen that Mrs Corners hasn't nicked ) and I didn't win anything in the raffle . I've bought a couple of Nova's from them and there is not a dribble that escapes ( pun intended ) I'm still new to this but from reading on here and my experience is limited to a few different vendors ( not that I've had any problem with any of them ) but vapeescape is on my top list of who to buy from.

Best clearos i've had were from gotvapes in the states and the only ones I've used that I could say were original Vision clearos. Tried the ones from vape escape because I bought my son a kit from there and they work well, I nicked one as there were 3 in the kit but don't tell anyone..

another vote for Novas from VapeEscape - there may be other suppliers you can trust not to give you a bad one, but I don't know them. Get the mini-nova to go with your Riva. I guess a plinth type B as well to make it look as if it belongs (I have an ego not a Riva - someone else will confirm or ask Vapescape).
I wouldn't buy spare heads, even though one of the of three it comes with will be 1.8 resistance which may not work on your Riva. I'd buy wire and wick to recoil the heads, which cost pennies and means that you don't have to spend any more on it until you tread on it or something. Then again, I'd buy a second clearo in case I trod on it or something.
