Just for a change, the supermarkets were open here yesterday & as we went at lunchtime, it wasn't busy at all. So after a coffee & cognac with friends, the last bits were got in a very relaxed manner. Today was a different matter, as last evening it was noticed that the credit card wallet was missing. So had to trek to the shops visited last week, to see if they'd been left there & handed in. Had to queue for an age to get in the car parks. Anyway, no cards, so home & all cards cancelled now & hoping nobody has been doing any internet shopping at our expense.

popped into Asda today after work as we did not have enough booze I usually get a case of wine from work but this year we were down graded to beer, so bought three for a tenner, in and out in under 5 mins, but it was pretty busy, what time does the world end btw

Went to the bitchers this morning to pick up the Turkey. I thought it would be about 20 quid. My gawd, it was more than twice that price! I guess we will be having it for breakfast, lunch and tea for the next week. Now just back from town with the last of the pressies. It wasn't as bad as I expected and at least they have waived the parking charges in the town's car parks.
