According to the professional chemist at the beginning of this thread. don't expect flavoured nicotine to last as long as the nicotine only based juice
"From what I know about these chemicals, I expect the juice to last certainly much much longer than 24 months, and probably many years. This long term storage is for unflavored, and undiluted nic-juice only. I do not store flavored DIYs this way. I make them in relatively small quantities and vape them up before making more. Flavors are probably the most unstable part of e-juice, and the presence of water in them will hasten their decomposition into nasty tasting products. Fridge cold does not really change this a lot, it is dependent on the flavor itself. Fruits are especially prone, since they are esters that tend to hydrolyze to organic acids (sour, vinegar, vomit taste) and organic alcohols (wet-dog, funky taste)."

I have just taken a 500ml plastic bottle of Nic Base out of the freezer to defrost it before decanting it into 100ml glass bottles to refreeze them.
From now on, all my Nic Base will be stored, in the freezer, in 100ml glass bottles.
On thing I did notice about the 500ml plastic bottle was that although the contents did not freeze, the plastic (polythene) bottle did freeze very hard. I wonder if this makes the bottle brittle and liable to crack should anything heavy be put on top of them. Afterall, they are in the bottom of a chest freezer.
My concerns about this is another good reason for storing nic base in glass bottles.

Fair enough, but most folks have more room in their freezer for long term storage, then they do in their refrigerator.

Well after reading some of the bull in the tobacco directive ( I needed an early night and it sure as hell worked in sending me to sleep ), I decided to join the rest of the hoarders and get another 1/2 litre. Nicvape , post modern cigeliquid and many others I'm sure will be doing a roaring trade as the clock ticks . For the time being that is certainly one item I don't wish to see "out of stock" .

Sound as far as I'm concerned Andy, even if there aren't any restrictions imposed upon us, then mixing your own eliquids can be hugely enjoyable and satisfying, even if you just master a couple of brews to your tastes. If you're thinking of longer than two years freezer storage, then yes, I would buy some glass bottles to keep your base in. can you freeze the actual flavoured e liqs do you know please?

Yes you can Ripple . . . in glass for best long term storage, though you do run the risk of the flavouring weakening over time.
