Gary, I have a kit of 2 x 510 "mini" batteries.
In all honesty, it's not a patch on mini ego or SD maxi.
Not one of my better buys. It gets used once or twice a week for a particular place/period. I use it with standard cartos, and it serves a purpose.
When the batteries get tired (which could be ages....) I'll be replacing it with mini ego or SD maxi.

Are those 510 carts on the cigalikes ? thats good - you could use the charger and carts on a bigger battery I seriously worry about that battery. Obviously battery life won't be good - but would it even vape right ? can it supply enough power to the Atty ? Now I think about it, I'm a little worried about the mini ego battery - does it work as well as a 650 mah ego (ignoring battery life of course).

Anything I've linked to is a 510 thread. Obviously you, me and most of the forum would recommend that your Mum got an ego that was at least 650mAh. If she's dead set against it, a moderate to heavy smoker and insisting on a cig-a-like then I'd go with the cheap cig-a-like but buy her at least 3 !

Just to add, yes you could use the cig-a-like charger on larger batteries but it would take an age to charge them. Even if it has the same thread never use a larger ego charger to charge cig-a-likes

Mini ego battery will produce the same power as a 650mAH but not as long obviously my friend runs her CE clearos on it with no problems she enjoys the size of it. Karma I have to disagree with the SD as the juice gets into the battery easily and shorts them out quickly could be just me but got to say how it is IMO

With carefull filling and wiping connectors shouldn't really be a problem. I have 3 SDKs and 2 bud auto batteries and had no problems
