So vaping last night, picked up my Vamo and it didn't fire, figured it was the battery but felt it a bit odd as battery was still showing 3.7v. Replaced it with a fresh 18650 - screen flashes 3 times and nothing else. Help, anyone? Edit - LOL, which idiot forgot to turn it (back) on then? Phew. I won't delete this post it may help other idiots/people having a bad day.

For a minute I thought this was going to be the first problems with the VAMO Mine gets good usage each and every day, from first thing in the morning till last thing at night. So far so good, I keep an eye out for problems on the Forums but nothing so far.

Thanks for 'fessing up Fitzroy, it has happened to me too, but I'm too much of a coward to admit to it! Good idea to leave this up as a timely help to new Vamo users! Andy

Mine did the same. Switched itself off when i put on a Nova, turned it back on (with the Nova still on) and it did it again. Removed the Nova and put on the Eternity, worked fine.....tried the Nova again, it it worked !

My Vamo's also seem to have a tendency to switch off & I think I'm right in saying that a better spring ( hot spring ) should solve the problem.

Yes change your spring, I used one from a small torch from poundland and have had no issues since I fitted it in. It was doing my head in... And now it's finally performing and working like it should. The springs it comes with are terrible!

Nice to see the solution to the problem in the OP I've got several things that switch on/off with 5 clicks - the problem I have found is that they all vary in how quickly you have to do the clicks! Mind you, I do have a clicking problem. I've been having difficulty unlocking my car for some time but discovered yesterday that it works every time if I hold the key button down for a moment rather than rapidly clicking it doh!

Only issues I had was with the batteries it came with. Turned off all the time. AW 18350s and all 18650s are fine. Well done Fitzy for coming clean...

The problem with the spring has been fixed on the newer batches - I checked with Jason at VE when I bought mine and he says they now come with bigger springs so the batteries don't rattle around anymore. I've certainly had no issues with mine. Thought mine had broken the other day. Had a few minutes of panic before I realised it was just the battery (18350, mini mode) had run out and I'd missed the warning message as I was using it in the car! It had seen me all through NYE, the party afterwards, the 'morning after' fry up at my friends' house and finally gave up on my way home. Thankfully I had an Ego with me as a spare!
