Just want to make sure I've at least half an idea of what I'm going to need. I'm a chemist by training/trade so been mixing, measuring, diluting, working out concentrations (and yes even blowing things up sometimes ) pretty much all my working life, so that bit should be straightforward hopefully. Also work in a lab, so can get lots of the little bits of kit - syringes/pipettes etc easily enough. The liquids I've used thus far have all been 70:30 PG:VG and am quite happy with that, although can obviously experiment a bit with my own - so as a list to start with I'm going to need? Nic base PG VG Flavourings Anything missing, given I've got access to the various bits and bobs required to do the actual mixing and measuring? Thanks in advance

Have you downloaded one of the measuring guide thingy's it does all the working out for you, you just type in your nic strength etc.
Although I haven't got any, people say EM and the other one are good to have, one adds sweetness the other adds a rounded blend to the mix.
Wait for Perps and Froggy, they will tell you what you need. And good luck, it's fun and you can have the flavour strength you need, which is the best bit.

Thanks Will have a look at the measuring guides and the other additives. Working my way through the tips and tricks thread too, although that might take a little while

You and Sandra have pretty much nailed the basic requirements Smudge . . . Vape Wizard would be the other useful additive to have in stock, it knocks back/rounds off the raw edges of a flavour, if it needs it . . . a couple of drops is usually sufficient in 10ml. And, some patience for steeping is useful as well. Happy mixing.

Thanks Perpetua am looking forward to trying it out Have had a look at the calculators and the best ones all seem to be for windows. Does anyone happen to know of one that would work on a mac? Not the end of the world if not as can borrow OH's laptop if need be. Also saw on PostModern smoking a handy looking calculator as well, so will manage one way or the other. Patience is the one thing I'll most likely have trouble with Thanks again

I remember having a look for someone else with a Mac Smudge and coming up a bit empty handed . . . there was one, which you had to do something twiddly with to make it work, but I can't seem to locate it now. Have you a smartphone, as there are several apps for Android.

Thanks all. Seems it'll be easier using the phone app as it looks like liquix wasn't ported. Anyway, got the nic and PG ordered - Boots for the VG is good from what I've seen? Vape wizard and flavourings to look at now. I find I seem to like the lighter fruity flavours so will prob make a start with those. Thanks again for all the help - I love this place
