Boring old biddy me, haven't done anything on NY's Eve for yonks now, my last sweet doggy was terrified of fireworks, so I stayed in comforting him.

Last year, I seem to recall our Steve/Bel/Nicky getting me very hammered on sloe gin . . . not even drinking tonight.

Same here, Hubby went to bed at half 9 as he is full of cold, my 2 sons are out and about enjoying themselves and I am sat here on my own like billy no mates, I haven't even had a drink as not the same drinking on your own, oh well there's always next year

We watched a very poor BBC Scotland's so called New Years Party.
Bloody Proclaimers!!!

Eventually switched off, came up here to the study while the wife and the dogs went to bed. (separate beds!).
Then I went online and spent almost 200 quid on vaping goodies. #shoppingm2#

I used to enjoy new years eve up until the point when they started showing the celebrations from around the world o TV. It suddenly dawned on me that if New Zealand were celebrating while I was drinking my morning coffee and that California would start celebrating when I got up for breakfast the next day then midnight on 31/12 was a meaningless construct. Each year is as shit as the last one anyway.

as someone i know put it,when i was a kid everything closed from Xmas eve to New yrs eve,then you had the sales now its forget the family work work we need more££££ from big companies,will add that some do like to work,for me i would rather it stayed the old way ,celebrrations with the family
