I mix my own liquids currently vaping at 15mg but intend to reduce the nicotine by 1mg per batch, I have enough nic base to last at least 12 months any way but would still like to be nicotine free if possible. Dave

I vaped 0mg exclusively for 3 months, mainly to check whether it was contributing to the heart racing & palpitations that I'm experiencing. It wasn't, so I've got some low mg in my fave flavours so I can enjoy dripping the enhanced flavour & the throat hit. Ill keep the less flavourful & tasteless 0mg flavours for tanks which mute the flavours anyway.

Interesting. So far 10 is okay for me. But we'll see in a few days....

If 10 or 12 is okay for me I think I'm going to stay there for a few months before dropping down again . I'd love to be off nic before this EU ban but still...that's what's motivating me

Do a week at 10, then a week at 9 I guess and so on, but keep some higher nic mixes around in case.

I've recently dropped to 12mg after 3 months on 18 and its fine for me. I've tried some Swedish Fish at 8mg and the throat hit (the key reason why e-cigs work for me) isn't quite there.

Hopefully after 3 months on 12mg, I'll have adjusted enough to be ready for a step down to 8. I'd love to eventually be nicotine free, but I'm taken a long term approach.

I've had to up to 12 as like I was craving nic at a friends house...

So will stick there for about 4-6 weeks then get down to 10....

Just reduced to 11mg...don't know how long I will stick there. 12mg worked fine with a friend smoking round here yesterday

Have friends coming over on Monday that smoke so it'll be interesting

Will remember the 1mg/ml per week thing though though I think below 10mg it should be more like every 2 weeks

I have to say I found 11mg pretty hard.....but now 10 and 9 are a doddle....

Have to say am vaping a lot but then have been stuck indoors for various reasons for a few days

I also upped the pg to 80 (so mix is now 80:20) which helped no end . Throat hit is also pretty important for me...

I was reading stuff the other day that nicotine is no worse than caffeine but I still want to come off as not many folk understand the e-cig

I'm still on 24mg, normally 100% PG, and have been since I started vaping last October. I want to drop down to 18mg, and will do so once I've run my 150ml stash of juice down...I do think I'll end up vaping more quantity to begin with, but at present I vape as I smoked (once every 30-60 mins) but lat time I tried 18mg I was taking more draws per vape session (IYSWIM) so didn't really cut down that much...hopefully in a couple of months it'll be easier, and if I only buy 18mg juice it'll help

So that easy? What are the best flavourings to get? I've heard capella and cupcake world are the best, but don't know much about it. Would be cool to start looking into this DIY stuff. Do you find you can make juices which are as good as some of the best gourmet vendors?

Yeah capella rock for all things cake related ...Also got some nice flavourings the other month from TW in the sale ...

Look on classifieds...you might grab a bargain....depends what ya after

And for that newbie I didn't really reduce till about the 8 week mark and I was on 36mg/ml plus a load of other nic so like really don't worry...takes time...

When I smoked fags and I have been doing so for 50 years, I tried many times to stop for good.
I used every NRT and Pill on the market and they all worked and stopped me smoking.
But I could never stay stopped. 3 months, 6 months and then last time, 18 months.
Stopping smoking is the easy part.
Staying stopped is the hard part.

If you are getting your nicotine fix by vaping and you are trying to cut down by reducing your mg levels over a period of time then good luck to you, but please, please, always carry a bottle of e-juice with you of the highest strength that you used to use when you started vaping.

I never wanted to go back on the fags when I stopped. I went back on them because a situation arose that I just had to have a fag to get through it.

That is what nicotine does to you and you can be away from it for long enough and think you are safe from its clutches, and then, when you least expect it, it will bite you in the bum.

I am now vaping 24 to 30mg e-juice. I may, some time in the future, drop to 18mg. But that is as low as I intend to go. I have tried too many times over the past 15 years to try again now. By just vaping to get my nicotine kick, they can bury me with my Provari.

I see what you're saying lobeydosser but I was away from it 18 months (cold turkey) in my early twenties only to return to it due to shortage of choc supplies. But even when I returned to it I was only on 2 roll ups a day....that lasted a few weeks.

So I'm confident so long as I keep vaping supplies in I'll be fine (silver bullet, maxi argento, bulli a2 classic and taifun and wire, wadding etc for the top bits. Plus PG/VG and flavourings)

Just out of curiosity what are you going to do when the EU makes it 4mg/ml max?
