Does anyone know why there only seems to be an option for Royal Mail Recorded delivery on their website now?

£5.44 for the privilege of making a trip to the sorting office for a little bottle of juice is a bit off-putting to say the least, as lovely as Swedish Fish is!

Am I missing something, as I don't recall having this problem before?

We've had some posts regarding this very thing.

I don't know what's going on...(I really don't)...but I fear the worst.

I've asked about this and it seems that alot of orders were going missing/not turning up and Alba just got fed up with it , since adopting the new postal charges so everything can be tracked nothings gone missing and they're still busy so Alba has no intention of changing their charges ......Alba say that 10 to 15 items per week were getting mislaid , usually small orders worth £10 to £30 but they all add up to quite a tidy sum that Alba couldn't afford to lose

Swedish fish here too, not tried it tho, the postage is considerably less, 18ml for £4.95

They need to rethink that then because I'm sure I'm not the only one who isn't going to pay those prices.

Think Id go back to cigarettes first, not a dig at Alba, just RM you uinderstand.

I always order 30ml bottles of juice from Alba,that way its not so much of an issue.It might be interesting to see what Vape space's SF is like though.

Hmmm.

I remember going into a hardware shop once to get 5 washers.

asked the guy how much he wanted, to which his reply was £3.

djs "£3 seems a bit steep for 5 washers"

man "yes, but it's not worth my while serving you for less than £3.

djs "OK, so I'll take £3s - worth then, how many is that?"

man "as many as you want"

So I picked up the complete box which had 2,400 in and walked out the shop.......

and got chased down the street by four blokes......

That's the amount I was going to order. I'm sorry, but paying another 50% for delivery on such a small item really isn't on-particularly when it guarantees that anyone who works during the day will miss the delivery and have to make a journey to the sorting office.
