It's not the duty I object to Comfrey, it's RM/Parcel Farce's ridiculous handling charge, that takes the pickle. That's what I meant really, it was an eight pound "handling"charge >

Makes my blood boil that Comfrey . . . even the girly in the main PO agreed with my rant about the price, when I went to collect/pay for my parcel. Not her fault of course, I just needed to share with her.

Just got a delivery from Mount Baker Vaper today that had £11 to pay for 'duty' and 'RM handling charges' before delivery but postie stuck it through the letterbox.
Question Will I get a bill from RM or has postie mucked up ?
Was thinking about keeping stoom and see if they ask for it what do you recon?

RM normally want outstanding duty payment first before they deliver Stewarty . . . I'd wait and see if you get a letter requesting the money.
If you don't, then it looks like an error has been made in your favour . . . . .

Bag had a big sticker on it with "this package cannot be delivered until the charges are paid" at the bottom.....sticker was stuck round both sides at the bottom so was quite hard to read as you had to keep turning it over as you read each line. As no one was in he just forced it through the letterbox bit of luck he never noticed it lol

I've just made my 1st purchase from china... I've put in the notes section "please mark the package as a "GIFT" to avoid any customs / import charges
Thank you.
Do you think it will work? x1 vamo x1 50ml juice

Chiller, in my experience the Chinese are very imaginative and helpful. My expendable for lung guard is working a treat

Do you think it will work? x1 vamo x1 50ml juice Have bought loads of things from china and can honestly say I have never been stung for customs, Chinese tend to under price goods and over price postage The one I almost got hit for was from America and the invoice was in a poly bag with the price bit of the invoice facing out so even Stevie Wonder would have noticed it, wouldn't have been as bad if they had dropped it a tenner then it would have sailed through >

That plastic bag with the invoice on the outside is exactly what we try to teach the vendors to do for shipments to Germany. They are mandatory for import.
You see, in Germany every single parcel is being evaluated by the customs, and you will have to visit your next customs office (30 miles for me) and show them an actual invoice and paypal or credit card statement for the purchase if the parcel doesn't have an invoice on the outside.
A customs officer told me: "You know, we are not stupid. Why would a known vendor in Hong Kong send you a "gift" with a value just below the threshold when he postage fee is higher than the value?"
A false customs declaration is a criminal offense, btw.
I wish you people would stop asking overseas vendors to do that. They lump us all together "It's in Europe" and it creates real problems.
At the moment I am trying to get a parcel with several hundred Euros worth of vape gear (All my 4 REOs, coming back from the mod maker after repairs) from the customs - it's been sent on the 30th of November 2012, marked as a "$18 gift" and it is still not clear if it is allowed to enter the EU. After my "attempted tax fraud" they are now having a lab examine the goods and see if they can find wrong CE signs or missing registration numbers. If they find anything wrong, the parcel will be destroyed or, if I am lucky, sent back.
You might think your customs is bad - but you seem to be very lucky from what I read here.
