Are you remembering the 5 clicks to turn on? I've forgot about that a few times

Hi scaffman, is it one of these SenyBors? If so mine had a clear plastic shrinkwrap end to end covering both pos & neg ends of the battery, if yours are the same be careful you don't damage the actual coating/casing of the battery itself when you remove it.

If the display flashed 3 times when you screw the endcap on then the batteries are making contact.
Are they fully charged, do the lights in your charger come on properly when you try to charge? If they do that will indicate that they are making contact properly.
the Vamo can be a bit funny with the 5 clicks to switch on, try 6 or 7 clicks to turn on.

Ok ive had a fiddle around and have come to the conclusion they are a bit too big for the vamo, because they are slightly bigger than the ones im useing atmo and when i unsrew end cap slightly it works, a bit naff so will put them away and hope the fit the z-max when that baby lands, cheers guys.

Don't buy protected batteries for the Vamo, Zmax type devices...
One they may not work properly because of the rating of the protection circuit and two they will be quite big/long due to the protection circuit and may not fit.
Use AW or Efest IMR or the CGR18650CH and buy a Silver Bullet Hot spring for the VAMO..

If you use the effest IMR the do not get the 3400mah 18650 cos you'll be right back to square one, it's too big. Otherwise, top advice from macca as usual

I think the 3400 efest: 1. Is not an IMR..It's a rebranded Panasonic NCR18650B2. It is protected alebit with a higher current rated protection circuit depending on brand. Not suitable at all unless you can get the base NCR18650B which is quite good and fits both the Sigmax and the VAMO and will work well..
