Don't get me wrong I'm glad I don't smoke anymore, even with the hassle and bad vaping days it's still preferable to smoking. I suppose that over 27 years of smoking I got used to the taste and in the end enjoyed smoking, not because of the smell or taste but the nicotine, smoking was pleasurable for me - the taste and smell were something I learned to enjoy if I wanted my nic. I guess, once I get more used to vaping it'll become second nature like smoking - neither good nor bad just...is. Mind you last time I had a smoke at Christmas when p***ed it tasted vile, like stale socks. But after that first one the second one was easy and I didn't notice the taste or smell Still, happy to be vaping now and if I need a smoke, I'll have a smoke. Generally vaping does the job though

Last year I had a bit of an issue. Caught chicken pox, which turned into pneumonia. Then followed a spell in ITU on 100% O2, so for some reason they didn't want me to smoke . For 2 months after I didn't want to smoke, I had enough trouble just breathing. I went through a full course of NRT patches which took away the light headedness I got with lack of nicotine. Then slowly I had 1, tasted horriblish but my sense of taste and smell had been destroyed temporarily, then a couple and before I knew it I was back smoking again. The habit of smoking was just too strong. Since I started vaping the urge to smoke has, pretty much, gone. The practice of vaping has kept away the psychological addiction to smoking, which was the hardest part of quiting for me.

Hi All, Almost 6 months into vaping and I have dropped most of my more exotic flavour trials and am now on 3 different tobacco flavours, a cappuccino, a menthol and a chocolate lime flavour.
During the day when I am out and about and generally busy, it will be one of the tobacco flavours and I don't think about what I am vaping at all. It is just a tobacco flavoured nicotine delivery system. In otherwords, what I need to get through the day.
In the evening, especially when I am in the den, it is then that I am very aware of tastes and flavours and I will switch between flavours almost hourly. What was great last evening is yuk this evening. What gave me a consistant zing last week, this week is dull and musty. This is all down to my taste buds and has little to do with the actual flavours. I suppose a lot of it could also be to do with what I have eaten for my evening meal. Anyways, I have not got around to analysing these varying tastes, sufficient to know that they do occur and accepting it. When all else fails me, I have a menthol flavour that I both enjoy and know that it will cut through any off time I have with any of the other flavours.

For most who have posted so far seem to be at a similar stage, from going from smoking to vaping, I think we have all looked for the perfect replacement for the cigarettes we used to or still have, and due to the fact their are so many juices to choose from it is quite easily to be dissatisfied with one that's been bought and move on to the next one hoping that it will be better than the last, then their is the consideration of equipment that's being used to vape with which is another ball game altogether to get the best out of a juice, unlike a cigarette where you just light it and that's it, no more to it other than smoke it, I myself have found a juice that I am happy with and its one that I never even thought I would, so now it is my main replacement smoke/vape , once your at a stage like we are at the moment i.e. joining a forum and being drawn further into the world of vaping it then seems to become an addiction also, and now I seem to be rambling on and on so time for a full stop .... I always miss a fag after I have had a meal, because that's when I really enjoyed a cigarette the rest of the times was just habit and my nicotine fix. I had to give up smoking through bad health would I have given up other wise dont really know, and that's why I think most if not, all of us on the forum have turned to vaping. Whatever the reason is it is far better then smoking unless someone comes up with a solid reason for not vaping and I doubt if this will happen, I will never give it up. I agree it is better for my health, but not my wallet, I can get carried away with seeing new mods and attys I can be like a kid in a toy shop and to me that's what makes vaping interesting, to make my own juice being able to make a ss wick and coil being frustrated when it goes wrong fags where never as exciting.
