Greetings from a noobie!

Hi Guys and Gals

Just dropped by to say Hi and thank you to Chrissie and all of those who have (unknowingly) helped me over the past few days…

A wee bit of history. When I was younger - say 20, 21 or thereabouts - I said that I would quit smoking when I was 40. Well, that didn't happen…

Fast forward a bit. A few years ago, the (now ex-) husband of a friend gave me an e-fag to try. I can't remember the brand. I sucked and sucked and nothing happened. Thus ended my first encounter with e-fags.

Now to December 2012. For some reason, or no particular reason at all, my mind turned to electronic cigarettes. I wondered whether things had changed since that wholly unsatisfactory first encounter. So I spent some time over the Christmas and New Year holidays doing my internet research. That's where you lot came in. Having read loads and loads of stuff here and elsewhere, I decided that cig-a-likes weren't the way to go…

So to the present day. I am now the proud owner of an eGo kit It arrived yesterday. First impressions:

- it works! Vapour, throat hit and nicotine all present and correct
- it feels weird pressing on a button and sucking on a pipe
- it feels doubly weird pressing on a button and sucking on a pipe whilst walking along the street…

I'm looking forward to trying out new liquids. Any and all recommendations are welcome! Being an incorrigible gadget freak, I also expect that I'll be spending money on bits of kit: but I hope that I'll be spending a lot less on kit than I have been spending on organic fags I haven't exactly given up the firesticks yet, but this is a start. Wish me luck!

Hello sleepyduck and if your like me then you will be trying dif attys , E liquids , re wicking , upgrading, alsorts of things so you havn't finished spending yet . but you will love the whole vaping experiance as I do. its become like a hobbie for me.

hi sleepyduck ,will agree my put off was most i spoke to said melon flavour,!!!! took me a yr to decide have a go found the same as i smoked rest now history ,will say glad i met this lot and reviews from old Todd and his dog helped a lot

ps took me till 50 to quit,tried on and off for past 10yrs

Hiya Sleepyduck..........Its good innit lolol

Everybody is different in what juices they like, I prefer the sweet ones myself now after trying loads, the sweet pudding variety and I also like chocolate. There are loads to try though and if I were you I would just get the small ones until I sussed out which ones I prefer.........Good luck on your vaping journey and hope you dont spend too much.
