When my doctor asked if I was still smoking I said no, I now use a e-cig and gave up the fags she was pleased that I stopped smoking. After seeing her a few times after one thing or another I was asked if I was still a non smoker I said yes she said she was putting on my records now anon smoker my hospital records also state this.

I have just had a check up as I had a Umbilical hernia repair operation a few months ago, my GP asked if I was a smoker or a non smoker. My reply was a non smoker as I was advised to give up 6 weeks before my operation and I thought how I was going to do it as I have tried that many times without success. My Nephew introduced me to Electronic cigarettes and I was that impressed with them i did a lot of research into various manufacturers and received numerous samples until I found the best ones which I now sell on our family run website link removed by Karma . My GP was that impressed with me and the Electronic cigarettes he now has our information brochure on his reception.

I'll take any excuse to preach the virtues of ecigs, so my doctor (and the practice nurse) had to listen. They were very polite.

I saw doc yesterday, told him I quit smoking 23rd October, told him I was on ecigs, got checked over. Apparently there is no longer any sign of wheezing in my lungs! Me too!!! Saw mine today, told her I stopped 26th October...and no signs of wheezing either!!! She asked how I was getting on with vaping and said...Congrats, please don't go back to the cigs...with no hesitation I told her I wouldn't unless e-cigs got banned and taken off the market lol

When I told my Diabetic Nurse that I was on the e-cigs and making my own e-juice, she said that she would have a look in her "out of date" cupboard and see what she had that I could use. She arrived at the house the next day with a bag full of unused sterile syringes that will keep me going for the next ten years! If I went back on the fags now, she'd kill me.

Blue, these things have a sell by date and would just go in the bin I have some out of date, by 2 years, alcohol swabs, that came from the NHS. There's nothing wrong with them, in sealed packs, but the NHS can't use things that are out of date

I told my GP I'd given up smoking tobacco cigarettes and am using a much safer alternative with no carcinogens. I showed him my e cig as he'd never heard of them, briefly explained how it works and said although it isn't NRT, it contains a small amount of nicotine as NRT patches etc. do. But the big difference is, e cigs work as a smoking alternative and NRT doesn't work to stop people smoking. He was very interested. (*No crafty link inserted or liking my own post as I'm not a vendor or vendors associate* )

I saw my GP last week for a flu jab and we talked about e-cigs. He was very interested and agreed with me that it's a good thing, but we need to know more about where and how some of the no-name juices are made and what controls are in place. Overall, he's in favour of it, having seen on a daily basis the damage caused to people by a lifetime of stinkies and vaping, while it's not perfect, is better than that.
