Newbie question, literally what is an atomiser and how does it work? What do you prefer that or a clearo and why? Think I'm just looking for excuses to buy more stuff if I'm honest!

Toon... what are you like? (wanting to buy stuff!) I guess you are asking about 1-piece atomisers that you either attach a drip tip or cart ridge to? An atomiser contains a wire coil exactly like a clearomiser or cartomiser only it's a unit on it's own. What have you been looking at? Some are great for dripping liquid into, others work well with a cartridge.

atties work fantastically for a couple of minutes before you have to refill them the smaller ones will only hold 4-5 drops. They're great for trying out new flavour juices and the flavour is fantastic, but once you've decided you like them a Clearo is faf free and will last the majority of the day (1/2 a day?) before having to refill them. personally I like the flavour from a Kanger T3 for maintenance free vaping.

Agreed. I've yet to see a good argument for trying to use them permanently other than dripping. There is someone on here who uses the iMist set-up and loves it, but reviews are mixed. I tried using a 510 with the tiny cartridges, but it was only marginally longer-lasting than dripping. T3 does have good flavour, I agree. I don't find them 100% reliable, but that may be after using them with homemade wicks/coils. I had the weirdest thing with one, I think the base pushes up the centre tube a little. I was running low on juice (3/4ml), turned it upside down (I stick the tip in a condom from a carto) and wandered to the kitchen to rinse and check the coil. Came back, and the juice was in the condom....
