Hi all I've just bitten the bullet and ordered myself a DCT kit from Vape Escape, with a spare carto. My question is - will any pre-dotted carto fit this tank, or have I just tied myself to VE as supplier? Should have thought about this before ordering! This is not really a problem as I always get excellent service from Jason and co. but if they should ever be OOS can I buy an equivalent from another vendor? It takes 35mm cartos. By Tuesday I should be up and running - can't wait! Supplementary question - is it better to use the condom method to fill the cartos, or can I use a syringe and blunt needle? This is new territory for me, so some advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance Andy

Blunt needles can be dodgy on Dual coil Cartos as its very easy to dislodge/damage the coil as it runs the whole length of the cartomiser, Kanger Cartomisers are safer for this as the coils run horizontally along the botton of the carto rather than vertically through it, probably best to use the condom method as normal as you will only need to do it once if you keep your tank filled.
Any 35mm Carto will suffice but will need holes punching in them if they arent bought for purpose, some people "slot" thier cartos, which basically involves cutting a groove in the carto with a small hacksaw, punching can disfigure the wall of the carto and lead to leaks from the tank.
Youtube is a good source for videos on the above.

i always drip liquid into my cartos. never liked the syringe method as i dont like the idea of syringes n im in a house with nosey inquisitive kids who have a habit of findin hidden stuff. found the condom method to messy. might take a few mins to drip fill one but i find it cleaner and less wasteful. theres loads of places to get cartos from jus make sure ya gett he right length

Thanks Rybes and Skwoddy, I presume the 35mm carto is what is classified as standard, as opposed to XL or XXl - am I right? I'm intending to use the DCT just for one juice so avoiding the 'changing flavours' scenario. Well, that's the theory anyway! I will aim to buy pre-holed cartos for the time being! Andy

ive got a 3mm tank here and just measured a carto for ya. my ones end to end are 50mm. i think the 35mm ones are for the shorter tank if thats what youve got. the whole length of an assembled tank i have is 45mm. ive often bought the shorter ones for em but never had a problem sendin them back n swappin em for the right ones

Actually, just read in the blurb that it will take the standard Boge and Kanger ones, so should have noticed that earlier! Thanks for taking the trouble to measure for me I presume that fitting a longer carto wouldn't actually cause problems anyway - or am I overlooking something obvious here? I'm sure it will all become clear once the kit arrives! Andy

Andy it will be clearer once it's in your hand! You can buy flanged carts from anywhere. I buy the xxl normal ones and punch myself as I like a bigger hole due to using vg juice.

The complete full length of a DCT carto is 50mm but that includes the thread most descriptions will say 45mm but will be the same carto. The 35mm cartomizer is different and you will need to find somewhere that sells the 35mm DCT carto.
