SKYCIG have launched a National Television Advert campaign.
They are using the ads to promote a 14.99 starter kit called 'SkyStart'
Damien Scott , UK Commercial Director, SKYCIG said:
"Producing the first SKYCIG TV commercial was very challenging, especially with it being the first advert of its kind in the UK. It's so rewarding to see the final and fully approved advert and it's great to be part of a brand which is so pioneering in the industry. I believe that the clearance of such an advert shows how attitudes towards e-cigarettes are changing and how the products are being recognised as a healthier alternative to smoking"
This is the first UK television advert for a nicotine containing electronic cigarette - at a price point that almost makes it semi-disposable.

I don't think It's a coincidence that all this advertising has appeared so soon after the EU directive fiasco (see my similar post) it looks like the big e cig companies are organising an attack

Interesting, it doesn't say anything about nicotine, smoking or giving up. Not sure what the regulations say about showing an e-cig being used in an advert, are they allowed to or have they chosen not to? I would expect them to be restricted about saying it's an aid to quitting but couldn't they say it's an alternative to smoking?

It doesn't actually say anything, it just directs you to their web site and have you noticed it doesn't show any one using one

They are not allowed to advertise anyone 'smoking' or doing anything that makes it look like they are 'smoking'.

Im almost certain that Benson and hedges could launch a similar AD, why should Skycig be any different?
Double edged argument i know, but I wonder if this would be in our favor, I can see it rattling more than a few anti smoking parties bones.

One thing is for sure it will get their website having a 'few' more hits than usual as people will want to know what the ad is actually about?

Im all for millions more people giving up smoking just to piss big pharma off, theyre gonna be so pissed at lost revenue from NRT, chemo drugs etc, heated times in parliament ahead, given that tobacco and pharma companies alike both line the politicians pockets.

I agree, it may push them to throw more money at the politicians in support of the EU directive

Although we all know there are so many better e-cigs available than Skycigs, I have to say that is a very clever advert. I bet it will get so many smokers googling for more info on Skycigs. Did I mention skycigs & that they are sort of OK but there are so many better alternatives?

skycig - useful if used with a normal 510 carto and fave juice for driving, and you can lip-dangle them if you need to do a 3-point turn I still use skycig & halo for 90% of my driving vaping, as most of my driving isn't cruising up and down a motorway and need to steer more. And, if you do need to drop it quick, not worried about damaging them as I would be with better kit
