Thanks everyone, problem now solved and am up and running. I tried robby's tip and removed the connector, blew down it to remove any debris, put it back plugged it in , got a battery charging light immediately. Left it for a few hours, blue light on, booted up all fit to go. I just love these forums, all the help you need, you just need to ask and it will be here. #  # |

where the wire comes from charger to lappy theres a rubber grommet,has that split? if so same happened to other halfs acer lappy,the earth in cable has broke at that point,so check there sometimes it was charging fine then wouldnt ,ok i cheated and resoldered a joint and tapped it back up  a point worth mentioning is other half when finished used to coil lead up round charger this caused it to split  It does seem to be a curse on pretty much ALL Acers otherwise excellent laptops. |
