That's it . . . the South West is shut! Loads of the white stuff in Yate . . . . no vapemail expected today, which is good.  Is it "pitching"?  I never heard that before I moved here! Me neither Des.  Well and truly pitched it is round here and more forecast tonight.  No schools have opened, public transport has been hit and miss, barely any traffic on the roads and a neighbour who works for RM came home at lunch time as the mail lorries weren't able to get through . . . so there'll be a postal back log to catch up with as well. |

Tis weird here, Mr Karma works 20 miles away to the east. He had a teribble journey home, total white out for the first 10 miles, then nothing bar a small flurrie blummin cold though |

At 5.00pm i cleared all snow from the drive it must of taken me about 45 mins, just looked out the front door and its coverd in snow again > |

Got about 6-8 inches here in the Rhondda. I'm sure that's very nice, but what about the snow where you are though?  We finally got some and I managed to pick the kids up from school and just about slithered home, not before doing some emergency snowed in shopping of wine and smoked salmon  That's it for the weekend now, I know we won't be able to get out of the village with our cars, so I'm tucked up for a couple of days with salmon on toast and a decadent wine or two  It's a hard life, but somebodies got to do it  |

Makes a nice change when Scotland has better weather than us Southern softies I'm well prepared, but that's only as I live in a state of total preparedness all the time  For a start I have enough juice to last till Christmas. |
