Hi members.
My situation is that I don't have a lot of cash but would love to try this mixing lark. Is there anywhere I can get a kit for less than £20, I've done some looking but the kits seem to be around £25. I don't know whether to buy some eliquid or a kit, it is really cost effective as you can buy some cheap eliquids for the cost of mixing your own. example would be misti eliquids 100ml for £12 which I am currently using. I know this might seem like a daft question but I really don't know whether mixing is a better option as I think I will mess it up and therefore have no usable liquid to vape. Another question would be, how much liquid would one be able to make initially upon receiving the kit. just trying to way up the best option of spending £20. do I buy a kit or buy more ready made liquids. fairly confused here. sorry for what seems like simplistic, but hope some one can answer my dilemma.

A lot depends on what nic and flavour strength you use, but according to my calculations, if you are buying juice at £12 for 100ml, no, it is not a helluva lot cheaper. Maybe 10% or so, depending on what volume you are prepared to buy your nic in (cheapest to get a litre of 75mg from the US, but that's £100 or so, and then you have to think about storage).
I still think it well worth doing because you get a juice tailored to your taste. I didn't buy a kit - just got the nic, PG, flavour, syringes, a few bottles.

All good kits and ideal for starting out.
Later, when you see what you are using most of, then you can buy that on its own and add it to what you already have.
I started with a kit just 3 months ago and now mix 80% of my e-juice. I am not (yet) into the exotic banana & rhubarb crumble with sherry trifle and cucumber topping type juices, but stick strictly to the tobacco flavours that are my all day vape. Still, these alone are saving me a fortune and the more I save, the more chemicals I can afford to buy.

That is a cracking diy kit at Postmodernsmoking, wish I could have found something like this when I first started to mix my own. Great find jax.

Thanks for the replies. emse. jax. giles. jay. lobey. banky. I've decided what I am going to do. I will wait to next weeks dole money and buy the postmodern kit as it looks value than the paradise's kit, thanks for the links though. I am currently vaping 24mg strength and would like to get it down to 18mg. I currently have the ejuice me up app download on the pc ready and waiting, just got to learn how to use it. What I am concern with is the price of nicotine as Giles pointed out in his reply, would one really need that much, sorry if I sound thick but the cost of buying nicotine is a bit of a worry. Just been checking the links again and unsure what's the best buy. Can someone tell me what is best. www.postmodernsmoking.com/index.php/shop/diy-e-liquid-mixing-1/mixing-accessories/diy-mixing-starter-kit.htmlor www.ltecigs.larsentilbrook.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=61_71&product_id=158. sorry for another question, say I buy a flavour that contains 12ml, what would that equate to in ml in your making your own juice. It would be great if someone ran a part time college course in mixology. Thanks again for the replies and sorry if it seems daft.

I'd go with Post Modern's, his stronger nicotine base gives you more range to mix with, the LT kit - their base is 18mg, so by the time you've added flavouring, then your mg strength is diluted more.
How much liquid you can mix with a 12ml bottle of concentrate, will depend upon what concentration you find you like to mix with Stamina.

Thanks Perpetua. I will buy the postmodern's kit in the week. I've just been reading frogsters Mixing Tips, Tricks, Questions & Answers page. the links are very useful for supplies. I will get some flavourings from cupcake world but what's the best source for tobacco flavours like rye4. When I do eventually run out of nicotine, is it best to buy nicotine on its own or is it best to buy pg/vg nicotine base thats already made. if its possible to buy such a item.
sorry for the daft questions

Nicotine on it's own (i.e. 100% or 1000mg/ml!) is extremely dangerous to handle without the appropriate training, facilities and protective clothing. At 75mg/ml (7.5%) and above nicotine also falls under the control provisions of the 1972 Poisons Act. That is why, for vaping use, it is sold already diluted in PG/VG and at concentrations below the legal threshold (as well as being safer to handle).
Note with FA tobacco flavour concentrates, they only require 1-2% as they reportedly are very concentrated. (But personally I'm not into tobacco flavours).

Your kit does look aces, Mr Postmodern, but you don't do a VG nicotine base. Or do you have some stashed away?

After a minute modicum of pressure . . . we're hoping Mr PM will have some VG nicotine base in, in the very near future. We aim to get our Vendors well trained on here Boo.

Then it needs bottled and labelled. Hoping not long now before it is on my shelves. Maybe even end of next week. I'll keep AAEC posted, once ready.
