Thanks Robby, starting to spot the guys who's advise is from a lot of experience. Would you suggest the best option is a body only, then get charger and batts from a certifiable source ? For the price, the full kit is hard to ignore, and I'm in trouble already for "not saving any money yet" ha ha . Thanks Mono I have no problems with the batteries, just saw on another forum that they work really well, a low voltage drop under load. The extra cash needed for the kit is really small, so at the very least, you will have two good small batteries and a cheap back up charger, never a bad thing You definitely will find the small batteries useful.

Hi Mach.
Robby is the guy, he's got 3 of them.
I bought the kit from Zainy and with all the reports about chargers and the batteries at the time, I also ended up buying a nitecore and better batteries. I don't use the charger from the kit but I still use the batteries in small mode. I suppose the kit is ok for the interim till you get a better charger, It you do get the kit, make sure you don't overcharge the battery, in other words once indication light changes to green, turn off charger

First time I had seen that, Brilliant idea

Rob the Nova from Zainy are excellent however with the center post being slightly smaller in diameter I think its a pain doing a recoil but then again being a clown, its probably me.
What do you think?
I definitely buy from there again.
Got to go out in the rain How crap.

It is a bit awkward, but I gave up winding my own coils long ago and buy the ready made wick and coils, so much less hassle. You get 10 for about two quid from Vaporbreak, they come at about 2.8 or 3 ohms and you just unwind a few turns if you want a lower resistance then just trim the wicks to size.

When I got the order from VB or little vb Robby, I got the ready made stuff, but not use them yet. thanks for the tip about lower resistance. Its nice to know they are ready made, abit like ready meals in the microwave.

Yes, they are tidy, I used two of them at 2.8 ohms on a Vivi Nova, so I ended up with about 1.4 ohms, incredible amount of vapour, I had to back it off, was getting light headed with the nic

Robby Just a quick question mate and sorry for sounding dim/stupid/idiotic/baffoon and numpty. Are you saying by using two ready made ones that it halfs the ohms or are you saying that a single ready made one is 1.4 so by using two you end up getting 2.8 or are you saying that a single one of 2.8, you are unwinding the wraps to reduce it to 1.4 then using two to get it to 2.8. You might need a digestive biscuit to read this because I am sounding confused.

You may say why not just unwind one to 1.4 ohms, the reason being you are going to end up with 4 times the heating metal surface area of a single 1.4 ohm coil and you are also going to have 2 wicks so it can suck up twice as much juice. That is important, if you are driving one 1.4 ohm coil it can only suck up so much juice. With two wicks you are spreading the load. Hope that makes sense lol I think two coils going will last a lot longer than one coil because you are not driving the coil so close to "popping" temperature.

Cheers Rob, fully understood your post. I did see a picture somewhere of a double coil. will have to try and find it. Liking the sound of 2 coils parallel, I must make sure that I am sitting down when vaping, don't fancy fallen flat on my face.

It can be a hard one to get your head round, if you think of the coils as hose pipes supplying current instead of water, two coils (hose pipes) are going to let twice as much current (water) through. All I did when I did my double coil was to twist the two wires together on each side taking care to have one coil physically above the other with a small gap, a bit like bunk beds, you dont want the actual coils touching each other, and dont forget to test the resistance before you hit the fire button
