I think this says it all. Read it all as the end will make you realise why we're in such a mess! At first I thought this was funny....Then I realized the awful truth of it. Be sure to read all the way to the end!
Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he's fed.
Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts Anyway!
Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat.
Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think.
Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass.
Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid.
When he's gone, Do not relax, It's time to apply The inheritance tax.
Accounts Receivable Tax Airline surcharge tax Airline Fuel Tax Airport Maintenance Tax Building Permit Tax Cigarette Tax Cooking Tax Corporate Income Tax Goods and Services Tax (GST) Death Tax Driving Permit Tax Environmental Tax (Fee) Excise Taxes Income Tax Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Petrol Tax (too much per litre) Gross Receipts Tax Health Tax Heating Tax Inheritance Tax Interest Tax Lighting Tax Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Mortgage Tax Pension Tax Personal Income Tax Property Tax Poverty Tax Prescription Drug Tax Real Estate Tax Recreational Vehicle Tax Retail Sales Tax Service Charge Tax School Tax Telephone Tax Value Added Tax Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Water Tax Workers Compensation Tax Tax (VAT) on Tax. And Now they want a blooming Carbon Tax!
STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world... We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class,a huge manufacturing base, and Mum stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the Hell happened? Could it be the lying parasitic politicians wasting our money? Oh, and don't forget the relatively new bank charges.... And we all know what we think of Bankers.

Mind you Chris, they did have some strange taxes in the past. Have you ever saw on very old buildings, where a window was supposed to be but bricked up? At one point in time there was a window tax ???

lol , Someone told me the other day they were considering changing council tax, He recons you would be taxed on what you could see from your house, Tree= + £5 sort of thing , It did make me laugh tho haha, I also remember an old man telling me once he had water people come to his allotment because he wasn't paying water rates, "He said i have no running water i don't need to pay it" It was raining at the time and they pointed to his roof then the drain, and mad him pay because he was using drainage lol, I wont comment on tax or the state of the government as it brings out my dark side

I see that this is from the US of A.
If memory serves me correctly, their war of independance was started by a Stamp Tax of 1765 followed by the Tea Tax which caused the Boston Tea Party in 1773.
So perhaps none of these particular taxes were around 100 years ago but the US of A has been taxed for a very long time.

When people write or think up these things, i reckon it would help their rant if they wrote the truth instead of a load of twaddle.

I work in the Tax/Accountancy "Field", and more so now than ever before the "Common Tax Payer" has more & more & more & more & more more & more & more & more & more implications now to their working life it amazes me that there has not, up til now, been a serious(and I mean SERIOUS) public revolt!!
Restaurants are not as busy.
Food Suppliers are not as busy.
Taxi Driver taking the working Class (Us Forum Users) out for meals.
I could go on....................................and on.......................and on...!!!
I've been having this conversation with a lot of Clients, especially those in the "Building Trade" who suffer C.I.S. deductions almost every time they come in to the office!!!!
WHERE THE FCUK is it going to end!!
The Government gloss over things - Saying they are spending Money on this or that, but really Folks where does it really end - I fear for my Son(8years old), HE doesn't understand(Why would he? He's only 8), but I really worry about what's happening!!
All comments I would LOVE to read/hear!!
