Let us put this into prospective. There is an estimated 750,000 vapers in the UK. Each vaper probably has at least 4 PVs. That is an estimated 3,000,000 PVs So I have a 3 million to one chance of a PV blowing up in my face. I guess I am happy with these odds!

And if they have backups for their backups that must be at least 3 batteries per device, which improves the odds to 9,000,000 to 1

Yes, I just re read this and realised that you're talking about the MVP. I have absolutely no worries about it blowing up in my face I haven't had any problem with my MPV but I do turn it off quite often to reset the counter coz there is no way I use it that much Edit : due to man fingers

I've been vaping for over 2.5 years now. I've used Tornado's, Ego's then Mods. I've only ever had one battery 'explode' that was a 18350 AW IMR which went off all on it's own in my handbag in the middle of the night. It didn't actually explode, it didn't catch fire, it fissled, melted the plastic of itself and totally knackered itself. I've travelled abroad lots of times with various devices and batteries and never had a problem. I think as everyone as already said, if you're sensible with your batteries, don't stack them or throw them in with your keys , you should be absolutely fine

Hi. iv read today about ecigs exploding in one man's face and one catching Alight. I'm starting to get a bit worried :-[ I use a itaste mvp. Has anyone heard of it happening with them? Innokin do extensive testing so Im 99.99% shure it wont explode I have the Itaste MVP & the smaller VV & the last thing Im worrying about is that . My opinion is innokin are one of the best makes out there

Yeah no problems here but I'm cautious. The only e-cig related problems I heard of are from stacked batteries, from batteries getting shorted in a pocket (keys perhaps) and from problems when charging.
Please don't charge unattended guys, this includes Ego batteries too (there have been reports of them venting and igniting on charge) I've shorted an Ego with a dodgy charger and it smelt pretty rank. No flame thankfully.

agree with Karma millions of batts few are gonna go wrong,as for the mods made many do say use protected batts with them,if mine went poof would be more pissed that the mods damaged than the battery being knackered lol

Do be careful when charging ego type batteries, I did blow a charger and battery up because I'd not noticed there was some liquid on the atty connector when I put the battery on charge.

Now I'm scared. I was going to buy a Provari but changed my mind because it needed separate batteries. I bought some new Twists instead, thinking I was safe as houses. How will I know my battery and/or charger are knackered? Is there any warning sign or will the battery just explode/disintegrate/catch fire?

Most ego/riva batteries will just stop working! To help prolong their life keep the connectors on the battery and charger clean, a dab with a tissue will do but occasionally I clean mine with an alcohol swab. Aslo don't screw them to tightly into the charger or screw things tightly onto them! I really think people are worrying about nothing. Of course it's sensible to be cautious and buy reputable goods from reputable vendors. But think about all the other battery devices that need to be charged up! Are you worried about your mobile phone exploding? I'm sure it must sometimes happen but nobody is about to ditch their phone. it has always been a rule in this house not to charge things overnight ever since years ago a charger for a hand held games console started smoldering away whilst plugged in. We threw it out and bought a new charger and learned a lesson about not leaving things to charge unattended! We didn't ban the kids from ever having a rechargeable console again! Keep Calm and Vape On

That's reassuring Karma. I wouldn't leave my phone charging overnight and I always charge my Twists where I can see them, although short of flicking the power switch and shouting for help I wouldn't know what to do if anything were amiss. I taken it the Ego Twist batteries are "protected" and safer than the batteries used in mods. Or are they?

Addict stop worrying You've got more chance of being run over by a UFO than of being harmed by a wayward battery
