Chrissie you're an absolute whizz. Thought it was dull at first but switched to desktop & was blown away. I've been clicking on all sorts & apologise if I've broken owt, deleted posts & threads or reported anyone I think it's much faster than v4 too. I'll try it out on my phone tomoz.

Lovin this new V5, so much easier to keep track of everything, especially if you have a few things going on and a few conversations on the go, the "Participated" button is fantastic, no need to go to bookmarks, just look at the PARTICIPATED button and it tells you if anything is new on a thread you were on, love it, it`s a big step forward

I think it's totally crap - what was wrong with the old one?

+1 for Robbie's post - love the 'participated' button too, and loads much more quickly. I also like the way that the top banner is not so deep, resulting in less unnecessary scrolling. I haven't played around with the settings much, as I like the skin/theme, and may have a tweak at some point. Many thanks to Chrissie for the hard work and untold hours this must have taken in preparation and execution. Andy

I think it's totally crap - what was wrong with the old one? The change was coming whether we liked it or not Farzooks, so there's been no choice in the matter. It's a Proboards decision to upgrade their forums. Chrissie has worked her proverbials off to get us to here.
The least we can all do, is to give it a shot at getting used to and ask if we come across anything we're not sure about.

Dismal themes - the only one I can tolerate is the green on green and that's only because the old board was green-ish and I was used to that. I suppose I will get used to it, and in truth, if the new theme had already been in place when I first joined up I would have just accepted it, but change for change's sake is never a good thing. For an example of how it should be done I would point to www.boards.ie , where there was an 'update' of appearance but existing members could choose to keep the old theme in their preferences for as long as they liked. Guess what? I much preferred the old one as the new layout was too garish and gauche, much like this.

I can't thank anyone, is this usual. Not that I'm addicted to it Macca but sometimes it's nice to say thankyou to someone without having to post.

Farzooks, I've used almost the same colours on the default theme as I used on the old version default theme, so I'm puzzled ??? I'm also unsure what you mean by no proper editing box ???
Womble, just click on the thumbs up, top right, of the post to like the post.

I'd also suspect that there's a large percentage of us that don't like change Farzooks, I include myself in that, as it takes us out of our comfort zone and what we're familiar with. Photobucket have a new version coming in 23 days, it's been available for some time now, I had a quick go with it and reverted back to the old format . . . now I'll have no choice, so I probably should have got on with it in the beginning and by now I'd be au fait. There's no easy answer is there, when any change is forced on us.

BTW, you can 'Like' your own posts.lol.. Maybe that should be changed in the admin panel I've just checked this out further. if someone "likes" their own post, it will show up that tyhey liked it at the top of the post, but it doesn't add to the number of likes shown in their mini profile.

I did exactly the same as Perpy, so I will have to get used to the new Photobucket soon as well! Because I only use it occasionally and don't use many of its facilities it is just irksome to have to figure out how to do the few things you want to do again. Mind you , I am still on Windows XP and Office 2003
