So, 2 months and the Vamo has kind of bitten the dust. It's been pretty badly treated by me to be honest. Dropped several times. Now after the final drop, the 510 connector has sunk flush with the top giving restricted airflow and the threading on the bottom of the tube has gone ... a wee strip of metal has peeled away and nothing will screw back on.
So, will I buy another? ... Hmm ... might invest in a Kick module instead.

This is why we need cheaper mods like the Vamo, you don't mind dropping them so much, cheap mods for work, provaris for home and the pub

Now do you treat your telescopic mod that way Ash ???? I bought that mod cos I figured it would stand a bit of a beating! It has toppled once but it seems to have a better centre of gravity. I'm sure I could kill a provari in no time!

Here you go ... nekkid and vulnerable ... the long clear plastic half tube sits behind the circuit board to keep it securely in place. Once getting the top part off (need a few good tugs with a pair of pliers), you remove this and the whole section pulls out

I am planning to cut the 510 connector (can't find a way of freeing it from the top as yet), rehousing the board in a tin mod and cutting holes for the screen and buttons. Will need to procure some battery connectors and a suitable housing. Will need to rewire the battery contact on the board to the new battery holder.
