www.cyprus-mail.com/cyprus/smoking-ban-be-expanded-electronic-cigs-out/20130124"quote from article" Although the ministry is still awaiting results of an investigative committee to see exactly how harmful electronic cigarettes might be, it has decided to take the advice of the World Health Organisation in considering electronic cigarettes as a health hazard. “At the ministry we prefer to be strict with the regulations on electronic cigarettes despite not having an exact indication of how harmful they may be,” acting director for Public Health Services, Christos Christou told the Mail. “These cigarettes are obviously not as harmful as normal tobacco cigarettes but those who smoke them are still inhaling nicotine which can be very dangerous,” he added.

I think our sensible, scientific and logical arguments are lost on them tbh That's what reading this sort of stuff does to me, those people lower my IQ but a few points by proxy

Nicotine has nothing whatsoever to do with the ecig ban in Cyprus. Tobacco tax has everything to do with the ecig ban in cyprus, they simply cannot afford to lose that revenue. Now, if the EU decides not to ban ecigs and they become completely accepted, I believe a lot of these European countries that have banned them will do a complete turnaround.

I just thought the diving looked pretty good, but then again I suppose Turkey doesn't look too bad either and I suppose it's a darn sight cheaper

Obviously 'Big Tobacco' getting the wind up and finding hard pressed world governments only to keen to coalesce this byzantine conspiracy, whilst protecting their lung cancer receipts.
Funny how all these 'ban' threats started up about the same time?
Politicians don't care about the long term benefits to the 'beloved' NHS (cost savings) as they are never in power long enough to intelligently direct legislation.
Then there's the 'Brown Envelopes' lobbyists of course. I fear 'Vaping' will be banished and quite soon - don't seek logic look for the angle...
