My VAMO broke. Dropped it about ten times. The threads are what ultimately gave out - they are cheap and nasty although can't comment on the SS version. The Provari is about 5-6 times more expensive depending on where you buy but it is more likely. according to reports. to last longer. There is a definitely total cost of ownership which I reckon the Provari would win.
The Vamo performed really well. VW is good but for me not a definite requirement in terms of usage. What I liked about it was the responsiveness of the board and how quick it was to change settings. Having a single button and having to scroll through multiple menu trees is something I hate.
Will I buy another Vamo? Unlikely since I think long term they are a false economy - maybe I had a bad experience and mistreated it. Will I buy a Provari? Unlikely since I cannot guarantee I will not buy yet another device after the high outlay.
Will I rehouse my Vamo board in a box mod? The parts are in the post :-)

as they both practically do the same the Provari is more seen now as a status object [from what i have seen and read] not on what it once had on its functionality above anything else that was around ,you want a lambo it gets you A to B you can afford it it does what it says on the tin you buy a Kia gets you A-to B yet does exactly the same burns fuel runs on round wheels lol think your missing the point. Yes go from A to B however you pay 10k for one and 120k for the other and that is represented in build quality. lets no compare functionality. I am talking construction and durability and I promise you now a Vamo will suffer majorly from wear and tear much sooner than a provari would (assuming both do not suffer any "fault"). And that is what would be my purchasing point without a doubt. Id rather have one device say compared to 10 devices over a lifespan of the better constructed one. And in no way is it a status object, could not care if it was a Vamo encrested in the queens jewels from her special diamond underwear collection. (assuming she has one ) It is just worth it "in the long run".

I dont know Jake, I have dropped mine on numerous occasions , once to the point of breaking off a Vivi Nova at the threading, got it out okay and it still works fine. The fact that it is a push fit in places doesnt worry me either, when you drop it, it gives a bit at that point and reduces the shock. I dont think that a Provari would last 10 times as long as a Vamo, from all I have seen and read, the electronics is excellent in it. Despite numerous drops, still going strong. It isnt flaky, it is robust in my opinion and a lot of reviewers have said the same. The fact that it can be used in mini mode is perhaps a bit of a flaw in one way, it means that if dropped it can get misaligned when dropped causing the battery to not slide in as well as it should. That is usually easily sorted though. It`s not as pretty as the Provari, of that there is no doubt lol, but it`s fine, I`m looking at my Stainless Steel one now and it looks great. Even if I had the money to spare I really dont think I would buy a Provari after using the Vamo with absolutely no problems that weren`t self inflicted by me dropping them, but again sorted easily. "And in no way is it a status object, could not care if it was a Vamo encrested in the queens jewels from her special diamond underwear collection. My Black Chrome Vamo looks a mess, not cos I have dropped it, I only did that once and no harm done, but cos the black chrome has rubbed off in many places and it's full of little scratches, But I love it, it vapes so wel, ever hit is great down to the last vape from the battery.
I can't see how another divice could do the job better. I tried the SS Vamo I have and it was kinda different some how in the vape, no idea why, but to me it was. I hope my black chrome one just keeps on going for a long long time, and I don't see why it shouldn't.

That`s really strange, I am starting to think there have been a couple of attempts at the Black Chrome one, I remember seeing a review and the guy had a Black Chrome one and the bottom of it was all scratches and he said it felt light. The one I have feels the same weight as the Stainless Steel one or the Chrome (Brass) one, and there truthfully isnt a mark or scratch on mine. Really impressed with the finish on it, seems as tough as car paint baked.

It could be the connector is slightly different, letting different amounts of airflow through.

I just got my SS V2 Vamo - built like a brick thing incidentally - and the AVG mode is unusable anyway. The voltage generated seems to thrash around - no taste on one draw, burning on the next.

How are you measuring the voltage? On a multimeter, with some difficulty. But you know something is wrong when you try and vape it. But it is difficult to tell on my multimeter. It would be nice to have one which was designed around 0-10 volts, 0-4 ohms instead of around 240v, 20k ohms. Does anyone make such a thing at a cheap price?
