well my lava tube arrived on thurs, and gave it a bash on friday. ordered a phoenix with it, but i think it was faulty because i was getting a burnt taste to it. anyway, ive got a dct on its way now. quite pleased with the lava, plenty of vapour and decent throat hit. vaped flu cured tobacco and apple flavour so far and quite enjoy them. only trouble is i went out on sunday night to the pub and smoked 4 ciggies after having zero in the day. only had one since sunday, so its not too bad. im not going to beat my self up this time though if i decide to have the odd ciggie if i go the pub. the odd one now and again isnt too bad is it? ???

Dont beat yourself up levanti look at what you have not smoked rather than what you have. That is the best mindset to think in, then the rest will fall into place. I had a bad bad night today and ended up having half a smoke and couldnt stand it but ended up smoking it anyway for some stupid reason but I wont beat myself up over it because I have avoided over 450 ciggies in 17ish days! look at the number avoided rather than smoked. Even one less a day is better than nothing! keep strong.

cheers jake. i vaped about two years ago and lasted for about four months before i went back on the cigs think i di d it wrong though before, because i went straight from the cigs to vaping. never had one cig at all in the whole time. felt pressurised not to have one, if that makes sense. ??? anyway if i can go all week without one, and have a couple on a sunday i will be happy. if i can do it all the time, i will be very happy just dont want to go back on the cigs full time again.

You will be fine I did the same but ended up having a bad crash on my motorbike and ended up back on the stinkies again. But this time I am pretty confident it is a replacement to smoking. What did it for me this time was my little boy asking me about the pics on the baccy packets of the dead person....and well yeah that was enough for me to say this needs to stop as soon as I can. Ok I am only 23 but I have smoke allot since 14 and thats 9 years so I want to try and knock it on the head, not just ciggies but cant say (forum rules) either way clearer head and clearer lungs which is the best bit!. Dont feel pressured, as I say with life....................go with the flow

Levanti, I wouldn't worry too much. You're heading in the right direction.
I've had the odd few on a Saturday after a few beers and I kicked myself afterwards, but then go back to vaping and just carry on. Compared to the 180+ I'd normally have in a week, having a couple in the first few weeks/months is no big issue.
Compared to going cold-turkey, when ALL you can think about 24 hours a day for weeks on end, and then still cave in, my personal view is just relax and enjoy the fact that vaping is a pleasant way to quit the tabs and see what happens.

Levanti, as others have said, don't beat yourself up - count the real cigs you don't smoke, not the ones you do
